Adam D Martin - August 30, 2020

UFC welterweight contender Neil Magny hopes to land a top-10 opponent in his next fight following a dominant win over Robbie Lawler. In the co-main event of UFC on ESPN+ 33, Magny outwrestled and outstruck Lawler over 15 minutes to earn a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards, with all three judges scoring the bout 30-27 in Magny’s favor. This is one of the biggest wins of Magny’s career over a former UFC welterweight champion, and he is hoping that it’s the kind of performance that lands him a top-10 opponent for his next fight.

Robbie Lawler issues classic response when asked how he’s dealing with pandemic

Tom Taylor - August 27, 2020

Former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler issued a classic response when he was asked how he’s coping with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During a virtual scrum ahead of his short-notice UFC Vegas 8 scrap with Neil Magny, the former welterweight titleholder was asked how he’s been fairing during the pandemic.

Now, in the year 2020, Magny finally gets the chance to fight Lawler on August 29 in Las Vegas, but this time it’s in the Octagon and not just a sparring session.

UFC announces multiple fights for the first quarter of 2020

Harry Kettle - December 20, 2019

The UFC has announced multiple fights that will be taking place in the first few months of 2020. Next year is set to be a big one for the promotion and with 2019 coming to an end, it really does seem like this could be one of those years that will be up there with 2016 in terms of success. Nobody can know that for sure, of course, but the UFC does appear to be building some momentum across many of their top divisions – both men’s and women’s.
