Cejudo (16-2 MMA), a former flyweight and bantamweight champion, has transitioned to coaching following his retirement from MMA competition in May 2020. ‘Triple C’ recently helped Deiveson Figueiredo recapture the men’s flyweight title at UFC 270 and is now working with ‘The Korean Zombie’ in his preparation for Alex Volkanovski.

Chimaev (10-0 MMA) last fought at UFC 267 in October 2021, where he defeated Li Jingliang (18-7 MMA). Khamzat will be back in the cage for UFC 273 on April 9th, matching up with Gilbert Burns (20-4 MMA). ‘Durinho’ will be looking to be the 1st fighter to upset Chimaev, while ‘Borz’ will be looking for another check in the win column.

Belal Muhammad revealed he was supposed to headline UFC London against Khamzat Chimaev. After Muhammad beat Stephen Thompson by decision in December he began to call out Chimaev. He was vocal about wanting to get that fight and shortly after, his manager, Ali Abdelaziz called him to say he would be headling UFC London on March 19 against Chimaev.

While he may be 4-0 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Khamzat Chimaev has split those wins between welterweight and middleweight. It’s not exactly a secret that he wants to become a champion in multiple divisions but given that he’s preparing to square off against Gilbert Burns at 170, it may not make sense for him to be in the 185 discussion for a while yet.

Khamzat Chimaev (10-0 MMA) is coming off a first round victory over Li Jingliang (18-7 MMA) at UFC 267 back in October 2021. Prior to that, Khamzat scored a sensational 18-second knockout win over Gerald Meerschaert (34-14 MMA) in September of 2020.
