Jon Jones can make history at UFC 247. The light heavyweight champion returns to action against Dominick Reyes in the main event of the card on Saturday, February 9. The pay-per-view event take place in the Toyota Center in Houston and will be his first appearance since his split decision victory over Thiago Santos in July 2019.

Jones has been reluctant to move up to heavyweight so far in his career, as he has continued to reign over the light heavyweight division. Still, fans have made it clear they want to see ‘Bones’ at heavyweight. But, there still are fights for him at 205 pounds, as evident by his upcoming title defense against undefeated contender Dominick Reyes.

In less than two weeks Jones will fight Reyes in his next title defense. Jones is once against a big betting favorite for the fight, but Reyes cannot be written off as an undefeated contender. To that end, Jones has clearly been putting in the work in his training camp, and it showed in his new photos.

Helwani suggested Jones’ 2013 UFC 165 fight against Alexander Gustafsson was the first time the champion had faced any true adversity, adding that Jones’ partying and antics outside the octagon all contributed to the drama of a show-stopping fight.
