In front of over 40,000 fans at Marvel Stadium in Australia, Devin Haney put on an absolute clinic to defeat George Kambosos Jr and become the undisputed lightweight champion in boxing. Many felt as if Kambosos barely even won a round with Haney somewhat making it look easy and now, the 23-year-old holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles to go alongside the WBC crown that he was able to capture way back in November 2019.

Robert Whittaker thinks he’s close to getting another crack at Israel Adesanya. Whittaker and Adesanya first met at UFC 243 when ‘The Reaper’ was the middleweight champ and ‘The Last Stylebender’ was the interim champ. It was Adesanya winning the fight by a convincing second-round KO. The pair would have their rematch at UFC 271 earlier this year and although Adesanya won again, it was by decision and a very close fight, so Whittaker believes if he defeated Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris in September he could earn him another title shot.

Rockhold, the former Strikeforce, and UFC middleweight champion is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 277 on July 30 against Paulo Costa. It’s his first fight since Jan Blachowicz brutally knocked him out in his light heavyweight debut. Although he has not fought since 2019, Rockhold is getting the fourth-ranked middleweight and if he wins he would be right back in the title picture.

In the co-main event of UFC London, Hooker returned to featherweight and was facing Allen who is undefeated in the UFC. It was an intriguing matchup and a crucial fight for Hooker. Early on, both men threw heavy shots but it was Allen who wound up catching Hooker with a big combination. The Kiwi responded with a nice counter that staggered the Brit for a moment. However, Allen continued the pressure and landed heavy shots along the fence and the ref eventually stopped the fight.
