UFC president Dana White sent a message to the “crybabies” who have been complaining about the EA UFC 4 video game rankings. The new UFC game is set to be released this month and in anticipation of the game coming out, EA Sports has been releasing the rankings of the fighters in the game. Some fans have taken to social media to criticize some of the game’s controversial rankings, which include Deiveson Figueiredo being ranked higher in the game than Tony Ferguson, for example.

UFC president Dana White says that the UFC 253 pay-per-view featuring Israel Adesanya vs. Paulo Costa will likely take place on Fight Island. UFC 253 is set to take place on September 19 and the main event will see the UFC middleweight title up for grabs as the champion Adesanya faces off with the challenger Costa. The UFC has confirmed this bout will be the main event and the date is set in stone, but the venue and location have yet to be determined at this time.

UFC president Dana White explained why he is giving light heavyweight Dustin Jacoby a second chance to fight in the Octagon. Jacoby defeated Ty Flores via lopsided unanimous decision in the main event of Tuesday night’s Contender Series, winning the fight with scores of 30-26, 29-27, and 29-27. White usually only hands out contracts to fighters on the show who get the finish, so it was perhaps a bit of a surprise when he announced that Jacoby would be given a contract. Along with Jacoby, lightweight prospects Jordan Leavitt and Uros Medic also earned deals.

McGregor is the biggest superstar in MMA but he announced that he had lost passion for the sport and would be taking a break. UFC president Dana White has confirmed multiple times that the UFC superstar is retired, but that hasn’t stopped fans and media from speculating he could return. Still, White has remained adamant that McGregor is retired.

Heading into the main event this past weekend, many expected 22-year-old Shahbazyan to run through Brunson and continue his rise up through the middleweight division. Unfortunately for him, things didn’t quite work out that way as the veteran produced one of the best performances of his UFC career to bring the youngster’s unbeaten run to an end.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that the six fighters who were involved in last-minute cancellations at UFC Vegas 5 will not be paid their show money. A planned light heavyweight bout between Ed Herman and Gerald Meerschaert was canceled earlier in the day on Saturday after Meerschaert tested positive for COVID-19. Later on in the night, a middleweight bout between Kevin Holland and Trevin Giles was scrapped after Giles fainted backstage while walking to the Octagon.

Back in July, footage surfaced that seemed to show ‘Platinum’ getting violent with a number of individuals at a restaurant in Texas. The end result was Perry knocking a man unconscious.

UFC President Dana White praised Joanne Calderwood for risking her title shot by accepting a bout with Jennifer Maia at tonight’s UFC Vegas 5 event. The Scottish standout in Calderwood was originally slated to challenge reigning women’s flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko later this summer. However, after ‘The Bullet’ suffered an injury the proposed title fight was put on hold which prompted ‘JoJo’ to accept a bout with Jennifer Maia.

Dana White says that UFC 254 featuring Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje will “probably” take place on Fight Island. The UFC spent all of July holding events on Yas Island, promoting four cards on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi between July 11 and July 25. White praised officials in Abu Dhabi for doing an amazing job holding those events and he has promised that the promotion would be returning soon. The UFC is back at its home base in Las Vegas for five events in August, but events scheduled for September and August do not have locations announced just yet.

UFC president Dana White says that he will fire anyone on his staff who approaches a judge or a referee in their dispute of the outcome of a fight. UFC color commentator Dan Hardy came under fire last week when he got into a verbal confrontation with referee Herb Dean following a controversial late stoppage in a catchweight bout between Francisco Trinaldo and Jai Herbert. Hardy yelled for Dean to stop the fight after Herbert took some extra shots, and was then caught on video getting into it with Dean. Both men have since released statements on the matter.

Chimaev has quickly become one of the brightest young stars in the UFC. After making his promotional debut earlier this month at UFC Fight Island 1 with a vicious submission win over John Phillips, Chimaev made UFC history when he finished Rhys McKee via TKO just 10 days later at UFC Fight Island 3. There is an incredible amount of hype behind Chimaev right now, with some looking at him as a potential future welterweight champ.

This story between the two juggernauts of the division began two years ago when “DC” knocked Miocic out and captured the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Then, in 2019, Miocic returned the favor and reclaimed the belt – setting up a third and almost certainly final fight between them at UFC 252.
