UFC featherweight contender Dan Ige wants to welcome Alexander Volkanovski back to the cage. ’50K’ is fresh off his return to the octagon at UFC Vegas 86 in February. There, Dan Ige scored a first-round knockout victory over Andre Fili. The win was the featherweight’s third in his last four appearances in the cage. With that sort of recent success, Ige believes that he should be next for Alexander Volkanovski.

Dan Ige returned to the win column in a big way at UFC Vegas 86. Ige was fighting in the co-main event as he took on short-notice replacement Andre Fili. The Hawaiian was originally supposed to fight Lerone Murphy, but the Brit was forced out of the bout. Fili ended up being the replacement opponent, which was tough for Ige as he says the two are friends and have trained together in the past.

In a quick turnaround, Andre Fili attempted to vault himself up the rankings by taking on Dan Ige. It was always going to be a war between these two but in the end, it took less than three minutes for us to get a conclusive winner. It was Ige who managed to get the job done, and he did so with a vicious knockout.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 86 event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Joe Pyfer vs. Jack Hermansson. The middleweight main event proved to be a hard-fought back and forth affair that went the full twenty-five minutes. Joe Pyfer was able to get off to a strong start in the fight, dominating ‘The Joker’ in the opening five minutes. Round two proved to be more of the same, although Hermansson did find some offense in the late stages of the frame. After being down 2-0 after the opening ten minutes, Jack Hermansson began to take control of the fight in round three thanks to his low kicks and jab. After busting up Pyfer in rounds three and four while on the feet, Hermansson switched things up in the final five minutes. ‘The Joker’ took the fight to the floor midway through the final round and proceeded to smother ‘Bodbagz’ on the canvas on route a unanimous decision win.
