Dan Ige is hoping to face Patricio Pitbull next time out after he returned to the win column at UFC 314. Ige scored a third-round TKO win over Sean Woodson to snap his two-fight losing skid. On the same card, Pitbull made his debut, and he suffered a decision loss to Yair Rodriguez. Although Pitbull isn’t ranked and is 0-1 in the UFC, Ige feels like it’s a big name for him to fight next, and it would be an exciting fight for the fans.

Dan Ige has come to the defense of a referee under scrutiny for a recent UFC fight stoppage. On the featured preliminary bout on the UFC 314 card, Ige went one-on-one with Sean Woodson. Ige was ahead two rounds on the judges’ scorecard going into the final frame. At some point in the third round, referee Andrew Glenn felt he had seen enough damage on Woodson to stop the fight.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 86 event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Joe Pyfer vs. Jack Hermansson. The middleweight main event proved to be a hard-fought back and forth affair that went the full twenty-five minutes. Joe Pyfer was able to get off to a strong start in the fight, dominating ‘The Joker’ in the opening five minutes. Round two proved to be more of the same, although Hermansson did find some offense in the late stages of the frame. After being down 2-0 after the opening ten minutes, Jack Hermansson began to take control of the fight in round three thanks to his low kicks and jab. After busting up Pyfer in rounds three and four while on the feet, Hermansson switched things up in the final five minutes. ‘The Joker’ took the fight to the floor midway through the final round and proceeded to smother ‘Bodbagz’ on the canvas on route a unanimous decision win.
