UFC president Dana White slammed Tyron Woodley ahead of the Jake Paul boxing match, saying that he hasn’t won an MMA fight in three years. Woodley recently concluded his UFC contract following four straight losses to Vicente Luque, Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns, and Kamaru Usman. Not long after this contract expired, Woodley agreed to terms with Paul for a boxing match later this summer. The two will now meet on August 28 in a highly-anticipated boxing match between the YouTuber Paul and the former UFC welterweight champion Woodley. But while the fight seems destined to be a pay-per-view blockbuster, it doesn’t appear as though White is a fan of it.

According to the undefeated boxing legend in Mayweather (50-0) his home in Sin City was recently burglarized and the culprits made off with handbags and other items of substantial value.

On Thursday, Odom and Carter squared off ahead of their boxing match, with Odom having a sizeable weight advantage over his opponent.

Former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez says his fighting career is not over and he is now hinting at a future in the world of boxing. Sanchez was recently released by the UFC following a disagreement between his former coach/manager Joshua Fabia and the promotion regarding the release of medical documents. The UFC decided to let him go and paid off the final fight of his contract, which was supposed to be a welterweight bout against Donald Cerrone. Sanchez later severed ties with Fabia, but he is still technically a free agent now. There is still the possibility things could work out with the UFC now that Fabia is out of the picture, but more than likely it seems like Sanchez will have to go to another promotion, or perhaps another sport.

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan praised of Jake Paul, saying that “Jake throws things straight and hard.” Paul takes on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on August 28 in a professional boxing match. Paul is coming off of a huge TKO win over Ben Askren which earned him this big opportunity against Woodley, who was recently released from the UFC following the end of his last contract. Paul vs. Woodley is expected to be one of the biggest combat sports events of the summer and it should be a very exciting fight regardless of what happens. And if you ask Rogan, it’s going to be a very competitive boxing match.

A video appears to show boxing legend Floyd Mayweather holding up Logan Paul after hurting him in their boxing match last weekend. Mayweather met Paul in the main event of this past Sunday’s Showtime PPV event. “Money” entered the fight as a massive favorite to win the exhibition bout, as Paul didn’t have anywhere close to the experience that the legend had. That being said, Paul was still able to go the full eight rounds with Mayweather. Although Mayweather clearly would have won had there been judges scoring the bout, just the fact that Paul was able to go the full either rounds is a win in itself. But according to a video that is floating around on the internet, it’s possible that this fight could have ended inside the distance a lot sooner.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul on Sunday night in Miami did well on pay-per-view. According to BoxingScene and confirmed by The Athletic, the Showtime PPV between the undefeated boxer in Mayweather and the YouTube and social media star in Paul did at least one million buys. Sources told both outlets that Showtime is projecting at least one million buys (or slightly more) domestically – which includes cable, satellite, and streaming.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson will step back into the ring this fall for the Legends Only League, according to his coach Rafael Cordeiro. Tyson made his return to boxing late last year when he fought fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in his first boxing match since 2005. It was an exhibition fight and the 54-year-old — soon to be 55 — liked the experience. He has made it clear since he fought Jones Jr. that he wants to return to the ring again, and we now have a potential date for his return.

Jake Paul blasted his critics, saying that “only people that should be allowed to talk about the sport are ones who have been in the ring.” Paul is a YouTuber who has made waves since making the move to professional boxing. He started off his boxing career with an amateur white-collar boxing match against Deji Olatunji in 2018, which he won by knockout in the fifth round. Paul then made the move to become a professional, and in his first pro boxing match, he defeated AnEsonGib by TKO in early 2020. Paul then returned to the ring in November 2020 and he knocked out former NBA dunk contest champion Nate Robinson for the biggest highlight of his career. He then returned in April 2021, when he knocked out former UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson issued a statement following his exciting boxing debut against Brian Maxwell on Sunday night. Johnson, the former NFL star, made his boxing debut against the BKFC veteran Maxwell on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul card. Despite being 43 years old and stepping into the boxing ring for the first time, Johnson did well in the fight, as he managed to go the full four rounds and looked pretty good in doing so. He showed off good footwork in the fight and also landed some nice punches on Maxwell. He also survived a late knockdown in the fourth round, though the exhibition fight did not have judges.

Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo slammed boxing legend Floyd Mayweather for his performance against Logan Paul. Mayweather went the full eight-round distance with Paul on Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, during their special exhibition boxing match. It wasn’t the most exciting fight as there was a lot of hugging and Mayweather seemed to be almost playing with his food and carrying Paul instead of finishing him with punches. Indeed, Paul even admitted in his post-fight interview that he wondered if Mayweather carried him to the distance. Either way, it was far from the best performance we’ve seen from Mayweather, although it’s worth noting again that it was an exhibition fight that doesn’t really matter.
