Paul has become one of the biggest names in combat sports these days after winning several boxing matches over the likes of Ben Askren and Nate Robinson, and this summer he takes on the former UFC welterweight champion Woodley. Paul has often been tweeting during the UFC cards as of late, and it was no different this weekend at UFC 263. Following the fight between Diaz and Leon Edwards, Paul took to his social media to claim that he will knock Diaz out, once he gets through with Woodley after their boxing match on August 28.

UFC president Dana White slammed Tyron Woodley ahead of the Jake Paul boxing match, saying that he hasn’t won an MMA fight in three years. Woodley recently concluded his UFC contract following four straight losses to Vicente Luque, Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns, and Kamaru Usman. Not long after this contract expired, Woodley agreed to terms with Paul for a boxing match later this summer. The two will now meet on August 28 in a highly-anticipated boxing match between the YouTuber Paul and the former UFC welterweight champion Woodley. But while the fight seems destined to be a pay-per-view blockbuster, it doesn’t appear as though White is a fan of it.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom is excited to KO Aaron Carter in a celebrity boxing match on Friday, saying “I’m going to put him to sleep early.” Odom meets Carter in a special exhibition boxing match between the former NBA champion and the pop star. The special guest referee for the fight will be former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell. On Thursday, Odom and Carter squared off ahead of their boxing match, with Odom having a sizeable weight advantage over his opponent.

Some felt as if she’d blow through Brittney Elkin, who was 3-6 coming into the fight, but others recognised that having nine fights more than your opponent in MMA is always going to serve as a helping hand – even with a 3-6 record.

Former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez says his fighting career is not over and he is now hinting at a future in the world of boxing. Sanchez was recently released by the UFC following a disagreement between his former coach/manager Joshua Fabia and the promotion regarding the release of medical documents. The UFC decided to let him go and paid off the final fight of his contract, which was supposed to be a welterweight bout against Donald Cerrone. Sanchez later severed ties with Fabia, but he is still technically a free agent now. There is still the possibility things could work out with the UFC now that Fabia is out of the picture, but more than likely it seems like Sanchez will have to go to another promotion, or perhaps another sport.

Paul is coming off of a huge TKO win over Ben Askren which earned him this big opportunity against Woodley, who was recently released from the UFC following the end of his last contract. Paul vs. Woodley is expected to be one of the biggest combat sports events of the summer and it should be a very exciting fight regardless of what happens. And if you ask Rogan, it’s going to be a very competitive boxing match.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul on Sunday night in Miami did well on pay-per-view. According to BoxingScene and confirmed by The Athletic, the Showtime PPV between the undefeated boxer in Mayweather and the YouTube and social media star in Paul did at least one million buys. Sources told both outlets that Showtime is projecting at least one million buys (or slightly more) domestically – which includes cable, satellite, and streaming.

Belfort, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, makes his return to boxing for the first time since 2006 when he takes on YouTuber Tarzann at the Triller Fight Club event on June 19. While Belfort is focused on his upcoming opponent, he can’t help but look ahead to more big paydays in boxing, and right now there isn’t a bigger payday than getting to fight the Paul brothers, Logan and Jake. Logan just had a big exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather while Jake is lined up to fight Tyron Woodley next after beating Ben Askren in his last fight. As far as Belfort is concerned, he’s hoping to be next — for both.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson will step back into the ring this fall for the Legends Only League, according to his coach Rafael Cordeiro. Tyson made his return to boxing late last year when he fought fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in his first boxing match since 2005. It was an exhibition fight and the 54-year-old — soon to be 55 — liked the experience. He has made it clear since he fought Jones Jr. that he wants to return to the ring again, and we now have a potential date for his return.

Jake Paul blasted his critics, saying that “only people that should be allowed to talk about the sport are ones who have been in the ring.” Paul is a YouTuber who has made waves since making the move to professional boxing. He started off his boxing career with an amateur white-collar boxing match against Deji Olatunji in 2018, which he won by knockout in the fifth round. Paul then made the move to become a professional, and in his first pro boxing match, he defeated AnEsonGib by TKO in early 2020. Paul then returned to the ring in November 2020 and he knocked out former NBA dunk contest champion Nate Robinson for the biggest highlight of his career. He then returned in April 2021, when he knocked out former UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson issued a statement following his exciting boxing debut against Brian Maxwell on Sunday night. Johnson, the former NFL star, made his boxing debut against the BKFC veteran Maxwell on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul card. Despite being 43 years old and stepping into the boxing ring for the first time, Johnson did well in the fight, as he managed to go the full four rounds and looked pretty good in doing so. He showed off good footwork in the fight and also landed some nice punches on Maxwell. He also survived a late knockdown in the fourth round, though the exhibition fight did not have judges.

YouTuber KSI reacted to the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing match, suggesting that boxing math means he’s the best boxer in the world. KSI and Paul previously fought twice in boxing. The first time they met was in a white-collar boxing match in August 2018, with the fight being scored a majority draw after two of the ringside judges scored it a tie and one had it for KSI. The two then rematched in a professional boxing match in November 2019, with this time KSI taking home the win by split decision. Although Paul is still adamant to this day that he did enough to defeat KSI in their rematch, the judges scored it for KSI, and his pro boxing record still stands at 1-0.
