Bare Knuckle FC 5 takes place tonight at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, the event is headlined by a scrap between Artem Lobov and Jason Knight. The main event will serve as the promotional debut of both fighters, as both Knight and Lobov saw there most recent competition under the UFC banner.

This weekend, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) will return to our screens with BKFC 5. This BKFC 5 card, which will emanate from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi will be topped by a featherweight showdown between former UFC stars Artem Lobov and Jason Knight.

Although the two are set to headline the card, the pre-fight discourse has been dominated by Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi’s potential fight. With all the buzz surrounding a potential Lobov vs. Malignaggi fight, Knight thinks Lobov is looking past him and that this will be a mistake for Lobov.

With no major mixed martial arts event this weekend, things were supposed to be nice and calm in the world of combat sports this week. That all changed when Paulie Malignaggi and Artem Lobov met in New York City during a media day for the latter’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship bout this weekend, all hell broke loose. The altercation started off strictly verbal, with both men exchanging words. As the distance decreased between both men, Malignaggi slapped Lobov across the face.

UFC veteran Artem Lobov is set to make his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut later this month when he takes on Jason Knight. Although the focus is on Knight, Lobov already has his second fight in the works. It has been reported that ‘The Russian Hammer’ will fight former boxing champ, Paulie Malignaggi later this summer, this if he proves victorious against Knight this weekend.

Benson got this news from retired boxer and new BKFC fighter Paulie Malignaggi, one of McGregor’s chief rivals and the man the promotion allegedly hopes to match the Irishman up with.
