The welterweight fighters went at it for three rounds, with Diaz ultimately securing the unanimous decision victory. Yesterday, footage was released showing Conor McGregor punching an older man in the face in a pub in Ireland after the man apparently refused to drink the Irish fighter’s Proper No. Twelve whiskey. Speaking to Submission Radio, UFC welterweight contender and potential McGregor opponent Jorge Masvidal shared his thoughts on the incident. “I thought it was maybe photoshopped cause the dude looked old as fu**, right?” he said.

Rogan and the “Funk Master” criticized Diego Sanchez for picking a new ‘self-awareness coach’ named Josh Fabia to serve as his cornerman in the fight.

Irish Bellator star James Gallagher has never shied away from a little pre-fight trash talk, and at the recent Bellator 223 press conference in London, he wound up swapping plenty of that with a teammate of his opponent, Jeremiah Labiano. The drama began during the press conference, when one of Labiano’s teammates began heckling Gallagher from the crowd. Gallagher responded with a firm lecture for his heckler, who he believed was one of his foe’s coaches.

Nurmagomedov recently grappled with his “greatest challenge”, his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. The clip was posted on Instagram by his coach, American Kickboxing Academy’s (AKA) Javier Mendez, who paid his respects to the Nurmagomedov duo.

UFC Fort Lauderdale and Bellator 220 certainly produced some interesting moments, but the weirdest MMA moment of the weekend came from URCC 77 in the Philippines, which featured a wild, three-on-three brawl. This team MMA bout pitted three fighters from the Philippines and three from China, and ended in bizarre fashion as one fighter seemed to be rattled by an illegal shot to the back of the head. These things tend to happen when there are six people fighting in one cage. See it in the video below:

Last month in Miami, former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor found himself in hot water (again), after an early morning run-in with an overeager fan. This encounter ended with McGregor taking the fan’s phone and smashing it on the ground, immediately opening a Pandora’s Box of legal repurcussions. TMZ has now acquired video from the sunny morning on which the police showed up to arrest Conor McGregor in Miami — bodycam footage, to be more precise. In this video, we can see McGregor exiting his home, being cuffed, and finally being crammed into the back of a police cruiser.

UFC 236 was a card to remember. The event, which went down in Atlanta, Georgia last weekend, was topped by a pair of interim title fights, as Dustin Poirier defeated Max Holloway to capture interim lightweight gold, and Israel Adesanya defeated Kelvin Gastelum to win the interim middleweight title. Both fights were absolute wars, earning all four fighters involved Fight of the Night honors. As is so often the case with unforgettable wars like the ones we saw at UFC 236, there were some pretty emotional moments backstage after the fights wrapped up.

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) handed Dillashaw a two-year ban for this incident, but in the eyes of former UFC welterweight champ Matt Serra, that might not be enough.
