Kevin Lee eyes replacement opponent after Sean Brady forced out of UFC Vegas 35 fight

Kevin Lee vs. Sean Brady has been canceled for the second time. Multiple sources informed BJPENN.com that Brady suffered an undisclosed injury and his fight against Lee is off. MMAJunkie was first to report the news of Brady’s withdrawal. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 264 but a minor rib injury from Lee forced him off the card and they were pushed back to August.

Justin Gaethje doubts UFC 268 will take place at Madison Square Garden: "New York City sucks"

Justin Gaethje doesn’t think UFC 268 will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The pay-per-view card is scheduled for November 6 and is tentatively scheduled for MSG. However, New York has implemented a required proof of vaccination for indoor dining, fitness, and entertainment events. A UFC event would fall into the latter category, so Gaethje believes that will force the promotion out of MSG.

It’s a highly-anticipated fight at lightweight where the winner could earn a title shot. For Gaethje, however, he says he’s ecstatic for the fight as it’s been a while since he fought someone he doesn’t like.

UFC 265 weigh-in results: Interim title fight set, but one fighter misses weight

The official weigh-ins for UFC 265 took place on Friday in Houston, Texas, and 25 of the 26 fighters scheduled to compete made weight. In the main event of UFC 265, the interim heavyweight title is up for grabs as Derrick Lewis takes on Ciryl Gane. Lewis is coming off an upset KO win over Curtis Blaydes while Gane is undefeated at 9-0. Both men successfully stepped onto the scale and made weight so the interim title fight is set.

Karakhanyan thought of moving up earlier but Bellator started the grand prix which made the 36-year-old stay at 145lbs. Unfortnately, in the opening round, he faced McKee and was knocked out in eight seconds. After the loss, he decided he would move up to lightweight and knows he is much better at that weight class.

Urijah Faber isn’t ruling out a return to the Octagon. Faber, the former WEC featherweight champion, is now 42-years-old and has not fought since he suffered a TKO loss to Petr Yan at UFC 245. However, the UFC Hall of Famer has always hinted at a return to the sport, and he says he plans on sitting down with the UFC to discuss that. He also knows if he were to return, it would not be for several months as he would need to get back into fight shape.
