Dustin Poirier believes he will finish Conor McGregor again at UFC 264, but this time will do so by submission. Back at UFC 257 in January on Fight Island, Poirier scored a second-round TKO over McGregor, and immediately after the fight, they agreed to do a trilogy. The trilogy match will happen on Saturday night at UFC 264 and “The Diamond” is confident he will get his hand raised and says he sees himself submitting the Irishman.

The official weigh-ins for UFC 264 took place on Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and 25 of the 26 fighters scheduled to compete made weight. The main event of UFC 264 features the trilogy fight between lightweights Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. Both men stepped onto the scale and successfully made weight, with each man standing on the scale at 156lbs. The UFC 264 main event is now official. It’s also worth noting that backup fighter Rafael dos Anjos also made weight, coming in at 156lbs.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul blasted Conor McGregor ahead of UFC 264, suggesting that “you can tell Conor has lost it.” McGregor and Dustin Poirier both took part in the pre-fight press conference on Thursday evening, and McGregor was criticized by fans who were watching for his weak trash talk. In addition to fans suggesting that McGregor may have lost a step, Paul believes that’s certainly the case. Taking to his social media following the presser, “The Problem Child” blasted McGregor and suggested that he is a fraud who is dealing with insecurities.

Stephen Thompson knows he’s a bad matchup for the current welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman. Thompson is set to face Gilbert Burns in the co-main event of UFC 264. If he wins, he could very well get a title shot due to the fact he’s the only fighter in the top-five that Usman hasn’t fought. If he does end up getting the title shot, “Wonderboy” knows there’s no chance the champ will strike with him. Instead, he’ll go back to the wrestler, grinding style that got him the title.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira open to comeback in boxing

Former UFC light heavyweight contender Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is interested in continuing his combat sports career in the boxing ring. Nogueira, better known as “Lil Nog,” retired following a split decision loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua on Fight Island last summer. Now 45 years old, the Brazilian is interested in continuing his combat sports career and he is interested in trying his hand at boxing. His brother, UFC Hall of Famer Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, spoke to AG Fight and revealed that “Lil Nog” is very much open to continuing his combat sports career in the world of boxing.
