Mark Hunt has hit back at the UFC’s claim that Justin Tafa was the first heavyweight in the promotion’s history to miss weight. Last Saturday night, Justin Tafa knocked Harry Hunsucker out to register his first mixed martial arts win since February 2020. However, while the victory was nice, it was slightly ruined by the fact that Tafa weighed in at 267 and therefore became the first heavyweight to officially miss the mark in UFC history.

Stephen Thompson has issued a statement after suffering a lopsided unanimous decision loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC Vegas 45. Thompson (16-6-1 MMA), a former two-time UFC title challenger, was looking to get back in the win column on Saturday night, this after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns in his last fight. Prior to that setback, ‘Wonderboy’ was coming off back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Geoff Neal and Vicente Luque.

The pair had originally collided in a high-profile boxing match earlier this summer in Cleveland, with Jake emerging victorious by way of split decision.

Jake Paul was beating Tyron Woodley before he scored the knockout, according to the judges. In the main event of a Showtime boxing pay-per-view on Saturday, Paul scored a violent KO over Woodley in the sixth round. Although Paul got the win he was looking for, many thought Woodley was winning the fight or that the bout was very close entering the sixth round. However, the judges didn’t see things that way, as all three of them had the fight for Paul after five rounds.

Chael Sonnen has been hit with five battery citiations after allegedly being a part of a hotel brawl in Las Vegas. TMZ Sports was first to share the news as they reported that Sonnen was detained but was ultimately not arrested because cops didn’t personally witness the alleged incident. He still was given five misdemeanor battery citations and the police are still investigating the incident.

However, in the sixth round, “The Chosen One” dropped his hand and Paul landed a perfectly timed shot that KO’d the former UFC champion.
