Joe Rogan believes the UFC’s new broadcast deal with Paramount will be massive for MMA. Many were surprised when it was announced that the UFC and Paramount struck a deal worth $7.7 billion for broadcasting rights. All of the numbered events will air live on Paramount+ annually, as well as all of the “Fight Night” events. UFC CEO Dana White expects four special cards to air on CBS annually.

Now that Volkanovski is a two-time UFC Featherweight Champion, he once again has a slew of challengers waiting to face him. The UFC recently signed former Bellator and PFL standout Aaron Pico, who believes he will eventually share the Octagon with Volkanovski. Pico told MMAFighting that he will inevitably take Volkanovski out.

Recently, footage surfaced of du Plessis and Chimaev exchanging pleasantries just days before their UFC 319 title fight. Some fans who watched the clip felt that Chimaev appeared to tower over du Plessis, while others pointed out fans were being duped by the angle of the video. The UFC “Embedded” team had a different angle of the brief meeting with du Plessis and Chimaev.

Heading into the fight, Du Plessis is a +180 underdog while the challenger is a -235 favorite on FanDuel. The pros actually believe the underdog in Du Plessis will be able to weather the storm and beat Chimaev at UFC 319 to defend his strap.
