UFC CEO Dana White has given his take on legendary MMA fighter Demetrious Johnson announcing his retirement. During the ONE Championship 168 event, Johnson announced that he is walking away from pro MMA competition. “Mighty Mouse” leaves the sport having held UFC and ONE gold. He also snagged the record for the most successful consecutive UFC title defenses.

Gilbert Burns has reflected on his recent loss to Sean Brady. Burns and Brady shared the Octagon inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas this past Saturday night. After five rounds of action, Brady was awarded the unanimous decision victory. The defeat hurts “Durinho’s” chances of returning to title contention. The 38 year-old has now dropped three straight bouts.

Jorge Masvidal is planning to make his comeback in MMA, and he’s setting his sights on former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Masvidal hasn’t been inside the Octagon since 2023 when he was defeated by Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision. “Gamebred” decided to hang up his gloves, but he did end up having a boxing match against his former foe Nate Diaz, falling short via majority decision.

The highly anticipated welterweight main event proved to be a hard fought back and forth affair. Sean Brady was able to find a consistent home for his 1-2 and low kick throughout the fight, making it difficult for Gilbert Burns to find a way inside. Although ‘Durinho’ had some moments in the twenty-five-minute contest, it was clear that after five rounds of action Brady had done more than enough to get the victory.
