Gilbert Burns is once again taking a welterweight short notice fight. Back in August, the Brazilian stepped up and took on Alexey Kunchenko and handed him his first loss. Now, on Saturday, at UFC Copenhagen, Burns will take on Gunnar Nelson having had just a week and a half to prepare.
Stipe Miocic sidelined with 'major retina injury from multiple eye pokes'

From the sounds of it, new UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will be rematching Daniel Cormier in his next fight. That being said, it likely won’t happen this year. While Cormier has stated the December 14 UFC 245 card would be a good date for him, Miocic has divulged that he likely won’t be ready in time for that card. He says he’s currently dealing with some lingering eye issues.
Yair Rodriguez accuses Jeremy Stephens of 'quitting'

Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens fought to a No Contest in the main event of this past weekend’s UFC Mexico City event. Rodriguez accidentally poked Stephens in the eye and after Stephens couldn’t open it, the doctor had to step in and stop the fight just 15 seconds in. Fans responded by throwing garbage into the center of the Octagon. Although Rodriguez told the media after the fight that he believed Stephens should be given the benefit of the doubt for not continuing, it seems as though Rodriguez has changed his tune.
Artem Lobov willing to fight Zubaira Tukhugov for free

Artem Lobov still has a bone to pick with Khabib Nurmagomedov stablemate Zubaira Tukhugov, and he’s willing to fight for free to settle it. Lobov, who is currently making waves in the bare knuckle boxing world, discussed a fight with the UFC featherweight Tukhugov in a recent interview with The Mac Life.

Yesterday afternoon, MMA manager Daniel Rubenstein claimed that UFC bantamweight star Urijah Faber had re-retired. Petr’s already accepted a fight vs Faber, but Faber is apparently reretired. Aljamain Sterling has surgery, forced to withdraw from rumored Frankie Edgar fight

Aljamain Sterling will not be fighting at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden against Frankie Edgar as initially expected. Sterling recently took to Instagram to announce he has undergone wrist surgery, and because of that, he has withdrawn from the rumored Frankie Edgar fight.

This confrontation was said to have occurred at the fighter hotel in Mexico City, shortly after the pair’s UFC Mexico fight ended in a No Contest due to an inadvertent eye-poke. In his most recent and infamous callout, Nate Diaz called for a fight against Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal and referred to him as one of the very few “gangsters” left in the UFC, and while crediting his future opponent, Diaz also pointed out that Masvidal was not a “West Coast Gangster”. Since the callout, no one has asked Jorge Masvidal about the “West Coast Gangster” comment even when both fighters were across from each other, but during the most recent UFC event in Mexico City, Masvidal finally responded.
Daniel Cormier confirms he will fight one more time, targets UFC 245

Former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is coming back for one more fight. In an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPNESPN, Cormier said he will be returning to the Octagon for the final fight of his career. That final fight, according to Cormier, will be a trilogy fight against Stipe Miocic who won the heavyweight title back from Cormier with a fourth-round victory over Cormier at UFC 241.
