Derrick Lewis did Derrick Lewis things at UFC 291. “The Black Beast” found himself on the main card of UFC 291 against Marcos Rogério de Lima. The two were initially scheduled to compete on the prelims, but Stephen Thompson vs. Michel Pereira was canceled after Pereira failed to make weight. As a result, Lewis’ fight was promoted.

Michael Chiesa has spoken out on his quick loss to Kevin Holland. Chiesa vs. Holland opened up the main card for UFC 291. The two shared the Octagon inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. It didn’t take long for Holland to demonstrate just how far his grappling has come. Chiesa found himself in a choke and was forced to tap in the opening frame.

Blachowicz (29-10-1 MMA) returned to action in the co-headliner of tonight’s event in Salt Lake City for a light heavyweight matchup with former middleweight champion Alex Pereira (8-2 MMA).

The Octagon returned to Salt Lake City for tonight’s UFC 291 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje 2. The highly anticipated BMF title fight proved to be the thrilling back and forth affair that most fight fans were hoping for. The opening five minutes were close, but most pros and analysts gave the round to ‘The Diamond’. Then, in round two, Justin Gaethje was able to find a home for a big head kick which sent Dustin Poirier crashing to the canvas. From there, ‘The Highlight’ would land one last hammer fist before the referee quickly jumped in to stop the fight.
