Dana White takes aim at a female commenter, sparks a wave of insults from fight fans

UFC President Dana White has never been shied away from confrontation, whether he’s at odds with a fighter, a member of the media, or a fan. This week, the UFC boss once again showed his bellicose side, taking aim at a female fan who commentated on one of his Instagram posts. This exchange quickly turned ugly, as throngs of White’s followers joined in on his attack on this woman.
Kevin Lee returning to lightweight

Earlier this year, Kevin Lee announced his intention to move from the lightweight division to the welterweight division. His time in this heavier division did not last long. After tapping to a Rafael dos Anjos choke in his welterweight debut at UFC Rochester in May, Lee is now headed back down to lightweight.
Donald Cerrone sends message to long-absent Conor McGregor

Donald Cerrone believes a win over Justin Gaethje will give him a big push in the direction of a lightweight title shot. One fighter who could conceivably cut ahead of Cerrone in line, however, is Conor McGregor. Speaking at a scrum ahead of his fight with Gaethje, Cerrone was asked if he was worried about McGregor returning and jumping the contendership lineup. He responded by expressing doubt that McGregor, who he was briefly expected to fight earlier this year, will ever even fight again.
Cris Cyborg believes women's featherweight is 'one of the deepest in terms of talent'

The former UFC featherweight champion was released from the Las Vegas-based promotion after her UFC 240 bout — partly due to her crumbling relationship with UFC President Dana White. Cris Cyborg talked to many promotions when her free agency began, but she always knew she would land with Bellator.

Unfortunately, the negotiations for this fight hit a snag, and Usman’s fight with Covington is still unscheduled. It’s not completely clear what caused these negotiations to stall, but fans are starting to get impatient with both sides.

Jorge Masvidal has revealed the start of his beef with longtime best friend, Colby Covington. “Gamebred” says their friendship came to a halt shortly after Covington won the interim title after beating Rafael dos Anjos. Jorge Masvidal says after that UFC 225 title fight, “Chaos” never paid one of his coaches that helped prepare Covington for the fight.
Dustin Poirier thanks Khabib Nurmagomedov for a tough lesson

Dustin Poirier has had nearly a week to process his tough, submission loss to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242, and he seems to be finding a silver lining in the experience. From the sounds of it, he’s treating this loss to the champ as a lesson, and hopes it’ll make him stronger. Poirier even thanked Nurmagomedov for the experience.
Todd Duffee rips UFC for preferential treatment of Greg Hardy

After alienating many of the gym’s Brazilian fighters with his previous comments, he’s now at odds with two of the gym’s top fighters in Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier. Speaking on the latest episode of BJPENN.com Radio, Covington admitted that things have gotten quite tense at American Top Team, and added that the gym’s owner Dan Lambert — also his manager — has become quite exasperated with the state of things.

UFC middleweight champ Robert Whittaker is scheduled to defend his title opposite interim champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 this October. In the opinion of long-time middleweight contender Uriah Hall, however, this Whittaker-Adesanya matchup is doomed to fail. Hall believes that Whittaker will ultimately withdraw from this fight, just as he did last time he was scheduled to fight in his native Australia. In that event, Hall says he’ll happily step in on short-notice to replace Whittaker against Adesanya — a fighter he seems to respect.
