ONE Championship’s atomweight world grand prix is official. And to kick it off, ONE: Empower will be an all-women’s card. Announced on Thursday via ESPN, ONE: Empower goes down on May 28, and currently hosts five fights featuring some of the promotion’s best female competitors. Additionally, one more “major” bout will be added as well as tournament alternate bouts.

On Friday, ONE Championship returned to our screens with the compelling ONE: Fists of Fury 2 card out of the Singapore Indoor Arena. The card was headlined by the ONE Championship debut of former RIZIN and ACB star Amir Aliakbari, who took on undefeated South Korean heavyweight Ji Won Kang. The co-headliner also occurred in the heavyweight debut, where Brazil’s Alexandre Machado took on Russia’s Anatoly Malykhin.

On Friday, ONE Championship returned to our screens with the talent-packed ONE: Fists of Fury card out of the Singapore Indoor Arena. The card was topped by a ONE flyweight kickboxing title fight as the champion Ilias looked Ennahachi to defend his title against Thailand’s Superlek Kiatmoo9. Ennahachi ended up defending his belt with a competitive decision win that will be no doubt be the subject of much debate on social media.

16-year-old Victoria Lee, the younger sister of ONE Championship titleholders Angela and Christian, made a splash in her pro MMA debut on Friday. Victoria made her debut in the opening bout of of the stacked ONE: Fists of Fury card in Singapore, taking on Thailand’s Sunisa Srisen. Srisen entered the ONE Circle with a substantial experience advantage, having assembled a 4-1 record in fights against the likes of Rika Ishige and Stamp Fairtex.

The man with the “Hands of Stone,” John Lineker (33-9), is back and looks to continue his reign of terror in ONE Championship come this April. MMA Fighting confirmed Thursday that the former UFC flyweight hopeful now has his third fight in ONE booked. It will take place on April 28 at ONE on TNT 4 as Lineker faces off with the Philippines’ Stephen Loman (14-2).

ONE Championship has announced the eight-woman lineup for its anticipated Atomweight World Grand Prix. ONE has been teasing its Atomweight World Grand Prix for quite some time, and on Wednesday, finally revealed the eight woman that will compose the tournament lineup.

ONE Championship’s Sage Northcutt is finally slated to return to action. The former UFC star will take on Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki at ONE on TNT 4 on April 28. News of this matchup, which will occur in ONE’s 170-pound lightweight division, was given to ESPN by ONE officials. The promotion has since confirmed the fight on social media.

Itsuki Hirata, one of the brightest prospects on the ONE Championship roster, is days out from a potentially career-altering fight. The 21-year-old will collide with Miku Nakamura in the main event of Road to ONE on February 22 in her native Tokyo. A win in this matchup could launch her into the anticipated ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix, and open the door to fights with some of the promotion’s fiercest fighters.

Aoki, a decorated mixed martial artist, has been working as a pro wrestler for years, and returned to that arena over the weekend, appearing at the Kawasaki Strong 2021 event from Japanese organization DDT Universal Championship.

Eddie Alvarez believes Jake Paul is a “better boxer” than Ben Askren, but the intangibles of the fight will be in Askren’s favor. Askren, who went 1-2 in the UFC and is the former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion, is slated to meet Paul, a YouTube star, in an eight-round pro boxing match in the UFC. While Askren has achieved some amazing things in MMA, the widespread feeling is that he’s actually out-matched in terms of boxing skill against Paul.

10x World Muay Thai Champion John Wayne Parr revealed that a recent family birthday celebration ended in tragic fashion. According the 44-year-old Australian legend, Parr, his family was celebrating his daughter Jasmine 18th birthday on Friday night. The festivities included Jasmine’s boyfriend and current ONE Championship fighter Rocky Ogden.

Stamp Fairtex has issued a statement after her head-scratching submission loss to Alyona Rassohyna at ONE: Unbreakable III on Friday. Stamp, the former ONE atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai champion, met Rassohyna, an amply more experienced fighter with an 83 percent submission rate, in the card’s main event.

ONE championship superstar Vitor Belfort called out AEW wrestler Chris Jericho for a cross-promotional match, and Jericho has now responded. Belfort, a former UFC champion, signed with ONE Championship a few years ago but he has yet to make his debut with the organization. He’s hoping to do so in the coming months, especially now that ONE Championship has a network television deal with TNT. The promotion kicks off the partnership on April 7, when Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez lead the pack on the network. Along with ONE, TNT is also the home to AEW wrestling, and Belfort believes that creates cross-promotion opportunities.

Victoria Lee, the 16-year-old sister of ONE lightweight champion Christian Lee and atomweight champion Angela Lee, is set for her pro debut. The prospect will battle Sunisa Srisen at ONE: Fists of Fury on February 26 in Singapore. ONE Championship announced this bout, along with appearances from striking stars Ilias Ennahachi, Giorgio Petrosyan and Rodtang Jitmuangnon, on Wednesday.

Titled ONE: Unbreakable II, the card emanated from Singapore, and was headlined by a heavyweight scrap between former Cage Warriors champion Mauro Cerilli and former MFC heavyweight champion Abdulbasir Vagabov.

ONE Championship star Eddie Alvarez believes that he is the man who could dethrone Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC lightweight division. Alvarez, who fought against many of the top stars at 155 pounds such as Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, is currently 1-1 in his spell with ONE as he prepares to return to action in early April when he faces off against former title challenger Iuri Lapicus.

Titled ONE: Unbreakable, the card emanated from the promotion’s home base of Singapore, and was headlined by a bantamweight kickboxing title between reigning champion Alaverdi Ramazanov and one of the best pound-for-pound Muay Thai fighters on the planet, Capitan Petchyindee Academy. Capitan won this fight in emphatic fashion in round two, claiming the title for himself.

Former ONE welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam says he’s an improved fighter ahead of his imminent return to competition. Kadestam will take on the unbeaten Gadjimurad Abdulaev at ONE: Unbreakable this Friday in Singapore. Abdulaev is replacing Kadestam’s originally slated opponent, Raimond Magomedaliev, on short notice, but the former champion is expecting a tough fight nonetheless.
