UFC President Dana White was not impressed by the elaborate costume Deontay Wilder wore during his walkout for his recent rematch with Tyson Fury. Fury and Wilder both made extravagant walks to the ring for their Las Vegas rematch. Fury wore a crown and cape and was carried to the ring on a palanquin. Wilder, meanwhile, essentially walked out in a suit of armor, and later blamed his loss to Fury on the weight of this costume.

UFC President Dana White has defended his decision to book Jose Aldo as the next man to challenge Henry Cejudo for the promotions bantamweight title. Earlier this week it was announced that the Brazilian legend, Aldo,  would be fighting ‘Triple C’ for his bantamweight title at May’s UFC 250 event in Sao Paulo.

Current and former UFC fighters are left angered over low pay in comparison to the organization’s multimillion-dollar payments to its rich investors. According to The New York Post, it was revealed earlier this month that approximately $300 million will be paid in one-time dividends to the company’s A-list of celebrity investors. Model Gisele Bündchen, actor Mark Wahlberg and actress Charlize Theron are among the beneficiaries.

UFC president Dana White says he doesn’t care if he loses UFC fans over his friendship with United States President Donald Trump. White recently spoke at Trump’s political rally in Colorado which led to criticism from a segment of MMA fans who are not Trump supporters. There were a number of MMA fans who were upset White spoke so glowingly about President Trump, but White doesn’t care what they think.

White and Trump are good friends going back two decades now, with Trump being instrumental to the rise of MMA in the early days of the UFC. Diego Sanchez has been criticized by many members of the MMA community after accepting a disqualification victory against Michel Pereira in the co-main event. UFC President Dana White and former UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping are not among those critics. Sanchez fought Pereira in the main event of UFC Rio Rancho last Saturday. After losing the first two rounds, he was blasted by an illegal knee in the third. When he was unable to continue, he was awarded a win via disqualification.

The Texas athletic commission has released a statement following major backlash spawning from last weekend’s UFC 247 event in Houston. The commission and those judging the fights were put on blast by longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan following the conclusion of Saturday night’s event. In addition, many fans and analysts voiced their displeasure with the judges scoring on social media.

Dana White has heaped praise on Valentina Shevchenko following UFC 247. This past Saturday night, Shevchenko put her UFC women’s flyweight title on the line against Katlyn Chookagian. While Shevchenko’s previous title defense against Liz Carmouche was widely considered to be lackluster, her bout with Chookagian was a different story. Shevchenko ended up scoring a third-round TKO victory.

Jones and Reyes were involved in a super-close fight that Jones ultimately won by unanimous decision to once again defend the UFC light heavyweight title. At UFC 246 on Saturday 18th January 2020, Conor McGregor returned to the Octagon to face Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. He utilized shoulder strikes, his signature left, and ground and pound to seal the victory in just 40 seconds of the very first round. The Irishman’s decisive win had some spectators questioning Cerrone’s fighting ability, including ESPN commentator Stephen A Smith.

A day before the super bowl at the Radio Row media event, the ‘BMF’ winner ran into the welterweight champion. The pair began a war of words and bystanders were forced to intervene to stop the conflict from escalating any further. Kamaru Usman goaded Masvidal to “do something,” but Gamebred accused him of being a “clout chaser.”
