UFC president Dana White is open to the idea of Alex Volkanovski serving as the back-up fighter for the UFC 280 main event. For the last couple of years, Alex Volkanovski has been proving himself as one of the best fighters in all of mixed martial arts. The reigning UFC featherweight champion has seen off the challenge of everyone the promotion has put in his way including The Korean Zombie, Brian Ortega and even Max Holloway.

Dan Hooker has taken a shot at Colby Covington as anticipation grows over his potential return to the Octagon. For the longest time now Colby Covington has been seen as one of the biggest villains in mixed martial arts. He has the ability to really get under the skin of his opponents and even though it isn’t always the most ethical way of gaining an advantage, you can’t argue with the results – outside of his two defeats to Kamaru Usman, that is.

A fan learned not to heckle Khamzat Chimaev and his team after teasing ‘Borz’ for missing weight prior to UFC 279. Heading into UFC 279 last weekend, it certainly seemed as if Khamzat Chimaev was doing everything in his power to make the week about him. From trying to fight Paulo Costa at the UFC Performance Institute to his antics leading to the UFC’s press conference getting cancelled, the Chechen sensation certainly wasn’t holding back.

Following on from the controversy of Khamzat Chimaev missing weight prior to UFC 279, Dana White and company had to deal with a lot of theories from a lot of different places regarding what exactly went down with ‘Borz’ and how chaotic the whole situation was.

Damon Jackson thought he could’ve gotten a top-15 opponent next but is excited to face Pat Sabatini at UFC Vegas 60. Jackson is on a three-fight winning streak and after his last fight, he called for a ranked opponent or Cub Swanson, who ultimately dropped down to bantamweight. With that, he got a call to face Sabatini, who Jackson admits is very similar to him.
