Aljamain Sterling is tired of the public criticism he has received from UFC President Dana White. Sterling is the reigning UFC Bantamweight Champion, but some feel he hasn’t been given his due from the UFC brass. The “Funk Master” is coming off a highly competitive five-round fight with Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. The UFC has insisted that Sterling have a quick turnaround by champion standards to meet Sean O’Malley. The title fight is scheduled for August 19.

Sean O’Malley has a response after Aljamain Sterling suggested their fight gets bumped up to July. O’Malley will challenge Sterling for the UFC Bantamweight Championship on August 19. The title fight is scheduled to headline UFC 292 inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. While Sterling was initially hesitant about committing to the championship scrap so soon, UFC President Dana White has insisted the fight is on for the summer.

Usman, the former UFC Welterweight Champion, has said that he has found his love for fighting again. That much appears evident as he’s been calling for a clash with Khamzat Chimaev. “Borz” has made it clear that he’s up for the challenge, but there is a holdup on the UFC’s end.

Mackenzie Dern is riding high after her dominating win over Angela Hill, and she’s now targeting Rose Namajunas. Dern promised a more aggressive approach ahead of her UFC Vegas 73 showdown with Hill. Dern delivered as advertised, turning up the heat with her striking, having relentless pressure in the grappling, and actively going for the finish throughout the fight. While Dern couldn’t secure the submission she was hoping for, she did earn a unanimous decision victory to keep her top 10 strawweight ranking safe.

UFC President Dana White has offered an explanation on the decision to revive the BMF belt. Hard-hitting lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will collide in a rematch at UFC 291 on July 29. The bout will be contested for the symbolic BMF Championship. The title was originally a one-time-only deal when Jorge Masvidal won the belt by defeating Nate Diaz back in 2019. Well, it’s back and the UFC boss has explained why that is the case.

Newly-signed PFL heavyweight Francis Ngannou wants to know what beef UFC President Dana White has with him. It was splitsville for Ngannou and the UFC back in January. While “The Predator” was the UFC Heavyweight Champion at the time, the two sides couldn’t come to terms on a new deal. Ultimately, Ngannou signed with the PFL, and White shared some not-so-favorable thoughts on the move.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 73 event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Mackenzie Dern vs. Angela Hill. Tonight’s women’s strawweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Mackenzie Dern. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace looked fantastic both on her feet and while on the ground and seemingly cruised to a unanimous decision victory over ‘Overkill’. While many expected Angela Hill would have the edge in the striking department, that proved to be far from the case as Dern out struck her the entire twenty-five minutes. Following her statement win, Mackenzie proceeded to callout Rose Namajunas.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 73 event was headlined by a women’s strawweight bout featuring Mackenzie Dern taking on Angela Hill. Dern (13-3 MMA) had entered tonight’s main event looking to rebound, this after suffering a majority decision loss to Yan Xioanan in her most previous effort in October of last year. Prior to that setback, the jiu-jitsu specialist had earned a split decision win over Tecia Torres in April of 2022.
