Eric Nicksick, the coach of Francis Ngannou, believes the former UFC Heavyweight Champion is in a good place after healing from the tragic death of his son. Ngannou publicly admitted to struggling with the loss of his son and even said retirement was a possibility. The good news is that “The Predator” seems to have been able to find himself in a good mental space.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 95 event, a ten-bout fight card headlined by Marcin Tybura vs. Serghei Spivac 2. The highly anticipated heavyweight rematch proved to be a short-lived affair. Serghei Spivac was able to get the fight to the ground early and promptly transitioned to an armbar submission which forced Marcin Tybura to tapout (see that here). MMA journalist Alex Behunin was the first to report the news of the Smith vs. Reyes booking, reportedly set for UFC 310 in December. The date, venue, and location for the event have yet to be announced, but the UFC usually holds its year-end final PPV cards in Las Vegas.
