Tonight’s UFC on ESPN 15 fight card just took a major hit as the scheduled co-main event between Ovince Saint Preux and Alonzo Menifield has been called off. Saint Preux (24-14 MMA) tested positive and negative for the Coronavirus during fight week, before a positive test this morning ruled out his ability to compete at the event.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones reacted to Ryan Bader’s knockout loss to Vadim Nemkov at Friday night’s Bellator 244 event. Jones was all over the news this week after the surprise announcement that he was vacating the UFC light heavyweight title. In the wake of Jones giving up his belt, there have been suggestions that Bader was briefly the new top dog at 205lbs, and Bellator president Scott Coker even said that Bellator had a better light heavyweight division than the UFC with Bader as the champ.

UFC on ESPN 15, which goes down this Saturday inside the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, has lost two fights at the last minute. According to a report from Nolan King of MMA Junkie, an undercard bout between Dwight Grant and Calen Born was canceled after Born missed the UFC on ESPN 15 weigh-ins due to undisclosed personal reasons.

UFC welterweight contender Neil Magny opened up about sparring Robbie Lawler back when he was just 19 years old. Having recently turned 33, Magny is one of the most accomplished welterweights to ever compete in the UFC and is a perennial top-15 contender. But when he was a college student just getting started in the sport back when he was only 19, Magny said that he got the chance to spar against the future Hall of Famer Lawler at the H.I.T. Squad. Now, in the year 2020, Magny finally gets the chance to fight Lawler on August 29 in Las Vegas, but this time it’s in the Octagon and not just a sparring session.
