UFC president Dana White has suggested that no fighters received a boost in pay after the UFC 279 weigh-in controversy. As a result of Khamzat Chimaev missing weight at the UFC 279 weigh-ins on Friday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship had to call an audible and attempt to save the pay-per-view from being a disaster.

Khamzat Chimaev has explained why he would’ve gone to jail if he wound up fighting Nate Diaz at UFC 279. Last Saturday night at UFC 279, Khamzat Chimaev ran through Kevin Holland in the co-main event of the evening. Shortly afterwards, Nate Diaz was able to submit Tony Ferguson in the fourth round of the main event to ensure he ended his UFC tenure on a positive note.

Elias Theodorou has sadly passed away. The Canadian MMA fighter died after a battle with cancer, with multiple teammates and friends confirming the heartbreaking news to BJPENN.com and on social media. Theodorou won the ‘TUF: Nations’ middleweight tournament back in 2014 and was in the UFC until 2019.
