Conor McGregor's manager wouldn't be surprised if 'The Notorious' fights for the title next: "He can fight anybody"

Conor McGregor’s manager has revealed that he thinks ‘The Notorious’ could be fighting for UFC gold next. The former dual-weight champion has been out of the cage since his injury loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. The loss gave Conor McGregor three losses in his last four fights inside the cage. During that stretch, he also lost to Floyd Mayweather inside of the boxing ring in 2017.

Mike Perry and Julian Lane had their press conference for their BKFC bout this weekend. During the event, ‘Platinum’ pulled out a bat during a scuffle with his opponent.. The scuffle wasn’t the first time that the two sides clashed in public. In December, Perry was shown on the broadcast as a guest commentator after his singing to the promotion. Lane threw a water bottle at the former UFC talent and insulted him. Almost immediately, Perry jumped into the crowd and began brawling with Lane.

Tyron Woodley used to train with both Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington so he is well-versed in knowing how they match up against one another. All three welterweights used to train at American Top Team and for Woodley, he believes those past training sessions give Masvidal the advantage. According to “The Chosen One” he says “Gamebred” was the big brother in training and it’s hard to get past that.

Luke Rockhold is hoping to make his return in June against Paulo Costa. Rockhold has not fought since UFC 239 where he suffered a KO loss to Jan Blachowicz in his light heavyweight debut. Since then, he was booked to fight Sean Strickland at UFC 268, but was forced out of the bout due to an injury. Now, the former champion says he wants to face Costa next, as long as the Brazilian can make weight.

Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush will not be fighting next Saturday night after all. According to MMA reporter, Ariel Helwani and later confirmed by sources to BJPENN, Dariush suffered an injury and has been forced out of the fight. It’s uncertain if Makhachev will remain on the card or if another fight will headline next Saturday’s event.

Henry Cejudo says he reached out to Cody Garbrandt to give him some advice amid his recent skid. Garbrandt is coming off a KO loss to Kai Kara-France at UFC 269 in his UFC flyweight debut. It was his second loss in a row and he is now just 1-5 since winning the bantamweight title back at UFC 207 in December of 2016. Out of those five losses, he has also been knocked out in four of them, so for Cejudo, he believes Garbrandt needs to get back to his technical self that he was against Dominick Cruz.

Israel Adesanya has teased that he will one-day crossover into the world of professional wrestling. ‘The Last Stylebender’ has made a reputation in the UFC for being a bit of a showman. He’s since admitted that a lot of his style he gets from the WWF’s Attitude Era period of entertainment. That era was the most fruitful for professional wrestling, and it seemed that Adesanya has pulled some material from it.

Ahead of his UFC return, Conor McGregor has proclaimed that he has the best ground and pound in the sport. ‘The Notorious’ has been out of the cage since July 2021, where he lost to Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout. McGregor has been out of action due to a leg injury he sustained in the fight. Despite the absence, he’s remained in the news cycle thanks to his social media posts.

Khamzat Chimaev doesn’t think Gilbert Burns is a real challenge. Chimaev is coming off a dominant first-round submission over Li Jingliang and has been rumored to face Burns. However, the fight has not been booked but if it does, Chimaev doesn’t think it would last very long as he says the Brazilian isn’t a challenge.

Parker Porter thought about retiring before getting a call from the UFC and now he’s focused on entering the rankings. Porter made his UFC debut on just days’ notice at UFC 252 and suffered a first-round TKO loss to Chris Daukaus. Since then, however, he beat Josh Parisian and Chase Sherman by decision. He will now return at UFC Vegas 48 against Alan Baudot who’s 0-1 with one No-Contest in the UFC. Despite Baudot being on a skid, Porter says he isn’t surprised they are matched up with one another. He also likes the matchup for him.
Kevin Holland makes a second internet troll eat his words in the gym (Video)

Kevin Holland (21-7 MMA) has already taken down one troll who wanted to mix it up with him in the gym. Holland had been getting tweets from a Jayden Draper, calling him out online and talking smack for a matchup with the middleweight fighter. Holland subsequently shared messages from the keyboard troll on Instagram and invited Draper to spar with him in the cage.
