Kamaru Usman has opened as the betting favorite for a potential fight with Khamzat Chimaev. At UFC 273, Chimaev was set for the toughest test of his career as he fought the second-ranked, Gilbert Burns in an intriguing matchup. The Swede was just 4-0 in the UFC but had run through all his previous competition. However, the fight was much closer than many thought as Chimaev edged out a decision in one of the best fights of the year.

Brian Stann has some advice for Khamzat Chimaev who has just come off a victory lap at UFC 273 by defeating Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout. It was Burns (20-5 MMA) who was attempting to serve Chimaev (11-0 MMA) his first loss, but it was not to be, with ‘Borz’ winning via unanimous decision. Brian Stann, 41, retired from the UFC back 2013, after competing in the middleweight division. Stann is also a former WEC light heavyweight champion and color commentator for the UFC.

He also thought he was closing in on becoming the featherweight GOAT. For Cejudo, who has been angling for a fight with the featherweight champ, he believes Volkanovski became the featherweight GOAT on Saturday night.

The UFC returned to Jacksonville, Florida for a stacked UFC 273 card where Alexander Volkanovski defended his belt against Korean Zombie in the main event. The event saw two titles on the line and also featured Khamzat Chimaev taking on his toughest test to date in the form of Gilbert Burns.
