Shavkat Kakhmonov has reacted after being labeled a ‘chump’ by Khamzat Chimaev. Khamzat Chimaev (11-0 MMA) is just coming off his victory over Gilbert Burns (20-5 MMA) this past weekend at UFC 273. The undefeated Swede is looking to keep his winning streak going, ultimately looking for a title bout.

Henry Cejudo has rejected Michael Bisping’s opinion that he is too small to overcome UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski. Last week, Henry Cejudo announced that he will be re-entering the USADA testing pool with the intention of returning to active competition. It comes almost two years after his initial retirement from mixed martial arts at UFC 249 and while he’s teased a comeback on several occasions, many didn’t really know whether or not he would pull the trigger on it.

Last weekend in the co-main event of UFC 273, Aljamain Sterling edged out a split decision triumph over Petr Yan. The win cemented his status as the UFC bantamweight champion and in doing so, created another branch of controversy amongst fans who felt as if Yan should’ve gotten the nod on the judges’ scorecards.

The UFC 273 medical suspensions have been revealed and Korean Zombie did not get the lengthy suspension that some may have thought. In the main event of UFC 273 last Saturday from Jacksonville, Korean Zombie was facing Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title. From the get-go, it was clear Volkanovski was a step ahead of the challenger and he ended up getting a fourth-round TKO win. In the fight, Zombie absorbed 138 significant strikes and 158 total strikes.

UFC strawweight Kay Hansen has been released from the UFC. The promotion officially removed her from the roster earlier today. The move doesn’t come as a massive surprise. The 22-year-old was signed to the promotion in 2020. Her first outing to the cage was a solid third-round submission over former Invicta FC atomweight champion Jinh Yu Frey. For her efforts, she received a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.

Bellator featherweight champion A.J. McKee has revealed the price that is needed for him to stay in the promotion. ‘Mercenary’ is coming off a victory over Patricio Pitbull last July. The victory saw him win Bellator featherweight gold, as well as the promotion’s 145-pound Grand Prix. He’s now set to rematch the former champion this Friday at Bellator 277.

Drakkar Klose doesn’t think he will ever be the same after the shove from Jeremy Stephens at the face-off after weigh-ins. Klose and Stephens were set to fight at UFC Vegas 24 on April 17, but Stephens shoved Klose at weigh-ins, and right away he knew something was wrong. He was still dehydrated and didn’t expect the shove which is why he thinks the injury was so bad.

Dustin Poirier believes the UFC is waiting for Conor McGregor to get healthy so they can book the fourth fight between them. Since Poirier suffered a submission loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 269 for the lightweight title, he has called out Nate Diaz for a fight. Both men showed interest in the bout and many fans had hoped the UFC would make it. Yet, it hasn’t come to fruition yet, and according to ‘The Diamond’ he says he hasn’t heard from the promotion in months.

Gilbert Burns has revealed three potential names for him to face next. The Brazilian is coming off a loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273 last weekend. Despite being a massive underdog going into the contest, Burns gave the undefeated fighter a lot of trouble. While he came up short via unanimous decision, he was given a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus for his efforts.

Former UFC title challenger Marlon Moraes has announced his retirement from MMA. ‘Magic’ is currently riding a four-fight losing streak, with several being lopsided knockout losses. His last appearance in the cage was against Song Yadong last month, ending in a first-round stoppage. Following the fight, Moraes took his gloves off in the cage, leading many to speculate that his career was over.

Sean O’Malley has shared regret that he wasn’t in Petr Yan’s corner for his loss at UFC 273 against Aljamain Sterling. Weeks before his bout with the UFC bantamweight champion, ‘No Mercy’ lost his corner due to VISA issues. As a result, Yan began shopping around for potential big names to help train him. Two such names that offered their services were Henry Cejudo and Sean O’Malley.
