Sean O’Malley has shared regret that he wasn’t in Petr Yan’s corner for his loss at UFC 273 against Aljamain Sterling. Weeks before his bout with the UFC bantamweight champion, ‘No Mercy’ lost his corner due to VISA issues. As a result, Yan began shopping around for potential big names to help train him. Two such names that offered their services were Henry Cejudo and Sean O’Malley.

After grueling five-rounds, Sterling won the bout against Yan via split decision. With the victory, he moved to a controversial 2-0 in his series against the former champion.

Brian Stann has some advice for Khamzat Chimaev who has just come off a victory lap at UFC 273 by defeating Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout. It was Burns (20-5 MMA) who was attempting to serve Chimaev (11-0 MMA) his first loss, but it was not to be, with ‘Borz’ winning via unanimous decision. Brian Stann, 41, retired from the UFC back 2013, after competing in the middleweight division. Stann is also a former WEC light heavyweight champion and color commentator for the UFC.

McCarthy weighed in on the UFC 273 co-main event between Aljamain Sterling (21-3 MMA) and Petr Yan (16-3 MMA) this past weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. It was Sterling who succeeded in defending his bantamweight belt by defeating Yan with a split decision victory.

Vinc Pichel wanted to fight Mark Madsen for a few reasons. Pichel and Madsen were booked to fight one another at UFC 271 in February, but the wrestling ace was forced out of the bout. The former UFC welterweight title challenger, Burns (20-4 MMA), is coming off a win over Stephen Thompson last July.
