Colby Covington elaborates on decision not to vote for Trump in 2016

Colby Covington has doubled down on his reasoning for not registering to vote in 2016. It’s no secret that Covington is a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. The UFC welterweight proudly wears MAGA hats and even took a trip to the oval office last year. Recently, it was revealed by Jeremy Botter that Covington actually didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 and has never registered to vote.
Dana White says fight offer is coming for Jorge Masvidal — but it's not Conor McGregor

UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal has recently been campaigning for a fight with former two-division champ Conor McGregor. In fact, he says the only fights he’s willing to accept at this juncture are a fight with McGregor or a welterweight title shot. Unfortunately for Masvidal, UFC President Dana White is not a fan of this matchup. The UFC boss also doesn’t think Masvidal is in a position to make ultimatums. He’ll reportedly be offered a fight imminently — but not with McGregor.
Tyron Woodley continues music career with new song

Tyron Woodley has his irons many fires, whether that’s fighting, working as an MMA analyst, or rapping in his new song: Money Love. The former welterweight champion released this hip hop song on Youtube yesterday. “The Chosen One” has recently been exploring his music career. Earlier this year, he featured on a track by the Glacier Boyz and dropped bars with Wiz Khalifa. He even released a parody of the popular hit ‘Old Town Road’, where he took aim at Conor McGregor and Colby Covington.

According to a report from ESPN, “The Answer” is making the drop to bantamweight following his most recent opportunity to capture a world championship at UFC 240. Un-redacted documents reveal UFC paid Lyoto Machida hefty bonuses for finishes

When Lyoto Machida still called the UFC home, the promotion made it very much worth his while to finish fights. Now un-redacted documents being used in the UFC Anti-Trust Lawsuit have revealed that Machida was given a hefty $100,000 bonus when he scored a knockout, TKO or submission win — seemingly in addition to any Performance of the Night bonuses he might have received. It’s not clear whether this arrangement lasted for the duration of his UFC career, or just for a portion of it.
Chris Weidman found latest Luke Rockhold KO 'bittersweet'

Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold — both former UFC middleweight champs who have sought greener pastures at light heavyweight — have a lot of history. The pair first fought in 2015, with Rockhold handing Weidman his first loss, and have been scheduled to rematch several times since then.
UFC Uruguay | Volkan Oezdemir on Ilir Latifi: 'I plan on exploiting him'

Volkan Oezdemir and Ilir Latifi will finally fight at UFC Uruguay after two previous attempts failed. Back in June, the two were set to fight at UFC Stockholm, but Latifi got hurt and was forced to pull out just days before the fight. The scrap was then re-booked for UFC Newark, but Visa issues from “No Time” postponed that a week to UFC Uruguay, which goes down this Saturday on ESPN+ (learn how to watch here).

Former UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping believes Lawler could have done a little better in the fight if he just let his hands go. “I was like, man, come on Robbie, throw something. ‘Cause Robbie’s an old-school guy, so I always cheer for those guys. But listen, I actually said to [my son] Callum, ‘It’s easier said than done.’ I’ve been in there with guys that try to take you down and it does prevent you from throwing shots – certainly when the person’s throwing back at you at a high volume rate,” Bisping said on his Believe You Me podcast (via MMA News).

He’s often spotted in a Make America Great Again hat, frequently throws his support behind the president, and even visited him in the oval office last year. Yet according to a report from veteran MMA reporter Jeremy Botter, Covington didn’t vote for Trump in the last election. In fact, he didn’t vote for anybody. Botter came to this conclusion after checking voter registration records in the states where Covington has lived.

Last week, in a sit down interview with Laura Sanko, the UFC president announced that he, along with the organization, were “no longer in the Cris Cyborg business”, thus releasing her and giving their blessing to the former women’s featherweight champion to take her talents anywhere she wanted.

Cris Cyborg is no longer a member of the UFC after completing her contract and then being released by Dana White. With that, the possibility of the Amanda Nunes rematch seems unlikely. Many wanted that fight to happen, including UFC president, Dana White, both fighters and now Cyborg’s coach in Jason Parillo. He says that is the only fight that makes sense for the former featherweight champion. ‘JP’ added that no other opponent or fight is an exciting option for Cyborg.

Vallie-Flagg admits there was some reluctance to agree to a fist fight with a man he considers a friend, yet he knows he and his opponent both understand that it’s purely business.
