Featherweight contenders will be headlining the UFC’s return to Kansas City, Missouri. Last month, there were reports that Max Holloway would face Arnold Allen next. ‘Blessed’ has been out of the cage since his trilogy bout with Alexander Volkanovski last July. In the co-main event at UFC 276, ‘The Great’ dominated en route to a lopsided decision victory.

A featherweight banger is set to headline a UFC Fight Night card as Max Holloway is set to face Arnold Allen. According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Holloway and Allen have verbally agreed to headline the April 15 card. As of right now, contracts have not been issued or signed. The location of the event is also not announced.

In the main event of UFC Vegas 63, a battle of top-10 featherweights went down as Arnold Allen looked to remain undefeated in the UFC as he took on Calvin Kattar. Allen entered the fight coming off the biggest win of his career as he scored a first-round TKO win over Dan Hooker back at UFC London in March. Prior to that, he picked up notable wins over Sodiq Yusuff, Nik Lentz, Gilbert Melendez, and Mads Burnell among others. Meanwhile, Kattar was coming off a controversial split decision loss to Josh Emmett while before that, he beat Giga Chikadze after losing to Max Holloway.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 63 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Calvin Kattar vs. Arnold Allen. Tonight’s men’s featherweight main event did not end in the fashion anyone had hoped for. After an exciting opening four minutes, ‘The Boston Finisher’ appeared to blow out his knee in the late stages of round one. Kattar decided to continue fighting for round two but immediately proceeded to collapse following a low kick from Allen. The fight was immediately waved off by the referee and ‘Almighty’ walked away the victor.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 63 event is headlined by a key featherweight matchup featuring Arnold Allen taking on Calvin Kattar. Allen (18-1 MMA) will enter the contest sporting an eleven-fight winning streak, his most recent being a first-round TKO victory over Dan Hooker. ‘Almighty’ has gone a perfect 9-0 since making his UFC debut back in June of 2015.

Arnold Allen believes he can become the first person to finish Calvin Kattar in the UFC on Saturday in the main event of UFC Vegas 63. Kattar has only lost once by stoppage – which was by submission in 2008 – and has been in a ton of wars. As of late, he has had four straight five-round main event fights go the distance and over that time has taken damage against the likes of Max Holloway and Josh Emmett. Although Kattar has the advantage of having five-round experience, Allen believes it’s his advantage due to the extra miles on Kattar’s body.

UFC featherweight contender Calvin Kattar isn’t looking for a fast track to the top. ‘The Boston Finisher’ has been out of action since his main event with Josh Emmett in June. That bout was a devastating one for Kattar, as he lost by split decision. However, many fighters came to his defense and stated that he deserved the decision.

Arnold Allen has responded to Israel Adesanya’s comments about his fight with Dan Hooker. The two featherweights squared off at UFC London in the co-main event. Allen dominated the contest and stopped Hooker in the first round with a flurry of punches. Despite the seeming finality of the bout, ‘The Hangman’s teammate Israel Adesanya disagreed with the stoppage.

Arnold Allen is rising in the UFC featherweight rankings and he’s eyeing Calvin Kattar next. Allen turned in a stellar performance against Dan Hooker in the co-main event of UFC London on March 19. Allen quickly battered Hooker and was able to snag the first-round TKO. This earned Allen his third “Performance of the Night” bonus.

Dana White discussed what could be next for Dan Hooker after ‘The Hangman’ suffered another first round loss at UFC London. Hooker (21-12 MMA) returned to the featherweight division tonight, this after dropping three of his last four fights at lightweight. During that rough stretch, ‘The Hangman’ had suffered first round stoppage losses at the hands of Islam Makhachev and Michael Chandler.

Hooker (21-12 MMA) was returning to the featherweight division after dropping three of his last four fights at lightweight. In his most previous effort at UFC 267, ‘The Hangman’ was submitted by Islam Makhachev in less than three minutes.

Volkov (34-9 MMA), a former Bellator heavyweight champion, was last seen in action at UFC 267 where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Marcin Tybura. That win was preceded by decision loss to Ciryl Gane.

UFC featherweight contender Arnold Allen says he is open to fighting The Korean Zombie next, predicting that “it’d be a good fight.” Allen is the No. 6 ranked featherweight in the UFC rankings, however, he often does not get mentioned when talking about the best fighters in the 145lbs weight class. The reason for that is that Allen is often injured. If he was able to stay healthy more often, then he would be able to gain more momentum in his career. But he keeps getting hurt and missing time.

Allen (17-1 MMA) had enter the featured contest on a nine-fight winning streak, his latest being a unanimous decision win over the now retired Nik Lentz. The English fighter had gone 7-0 inside of the UFC since making his promotional debut in June of 2015.

UFC featherweight Jeremy Stephens has been forced out of his November 7 fight against Arnold Allen, MMA Junkie reports. Stephens has been pulled from the fight due to an injury but the problem isn’t expected to take long for him to recover from, and the veteran is expected to return in late 2020 or early 2021. The fight would’ve given “Lil Heathen” the opportunity to bounce back from a run of five fights without a win dating all the way back to February 2018.

Jordan Rinaldi was in a must-win situation in his last fight. At UFC 230, he moved down to featherweight to take on Jason Knight, and was fresh off of a tough loss to Gregor Gillespie. Rinaldi knew another loss could mean the end of his UFC career. Luckily, he ended up beating Knight by unanimous decision, protecting his job in the process.
