UFC 272 officially has its co-main event, and UFC Vegas 48 has a new headliner. Rafael Dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev were set for the main event role next week at UFC Vegas 48. However, the pair were removed from the card earlier today. MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani broke the news that the fight was being moved to next month.

Michael Bisping has thrown praise towards his former foe Luke Rockhold. The former UFC middleweight champion last fought in the cage in 2019 at light-heavyweight. He got knocked out by Jan Blachowicz at UFC 239 and discussed retirement following the fight.
Ray Borg believes he will fight in UFC again, open to flyweight return: "I have unfinished business"

Ray Borg believes it’s only a matter of time until he fights in the UFC again. Borg fought in the UFC from 2014 to 2020 and went 7-5 including fighting Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight belt. However, Borg struggled to make it to the scale due to his son needing brain surgery which impacted his weight cuts. With that, the UFC released him for constantly pulling out of fights. He later announced his retirement but decided to end that shortly thereafter.

Kamaru Usman, 34, UFC Welterweight Champion has confirmed he will be in attendance at UFC 272 on March 5th, 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Usman, (20-1 MMA) will have his eye on rivals Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington who are set to square off in the welterweight main event.

Matt Schnell was supposed to be fighting against Alex Perez this Saturday, February 12th at UFC 271. ‘Danger’ (15-5 MMA) and Perez (24-6 MMA) were slated to meet in the flyweight division at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

UFC 271 serves as the second pay-per-view event of 2022 and is slated to feature a total of fifteen contests. The weigh-ins are taking place at the UFC host hotel in Houston, Texas. The nearby Toyota Center will feature tomorrows event, February 12th, which hosts the main card on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

The once-proposed UFC 223 main event, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Max Holloway, will happen in the Metaverse this Saturday. Back in April 2018, UFC fans were treated to one of the most chaotic fight weeks in the promotion’s history. Khabib Nurmagomedov was scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson, only for a bizarre injury to force “El Cucuy” out of the contest. Then, Max Holloway stepped in to take the UFC lightweight title bout on short notice, but he wasn’t given clearance to compete by doctors.

According to MMA reporter, Ariel Helwani, Blaydes will take on Daukaus in the main event of UFC Columbus on March 26. The event was supposed to be headlined by Jan Blachowicz vs. Aleksandar Rakic, but the former champion had to pull out with an injury.

Adesanya’s deal was announced by his management company and it is said to make him one of the highest-paid fighters in MMA history. For Sonnen, he says White and Adesanya did everything right as the negotiation never went public.
