Conor McGregor’s recovery from surgery on his broken leg continues as he begins to throw kicks once again. Last summer at UFC 264, Conor McGregor had many questioning whether he’d ever compete in mixed martial arts again after succumbing to a nasty leg break in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. The injury required surgery and ever since then, the Irishman has been on a slow but steady recovery in preparation for another run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Tony Ferguson has bemused fans by responding to a Dana White quote that appears to have been confirmed to be a fake. The last couple of years certainly haven’t been kind to Tony Ferguson inside the Octagon. The man known as ‘El Cucuy’ has suffered four straight mixed martial arts losses to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Beneil Dariush and Michael Chandler, leaving him on the outside of the lightweight title picture looking in.

Like many fight fans, Dana White was losing his mind during last night’s UFC 275 main event between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira. Teixeira (33-8 MMA) was looking to earn his first career title defense when he squared off with Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA) yesterday in Singapore. The 42-year-old had captured the promotions light heavyweight title back at UFC 267 with a second round submission victory over Jan Blachowicz.

The Octagon returned to Singapore for tonight’s UFC 275 event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Procházka. The highly anticipated light heavyweight title fight resulted in what many fans and analysts are calling the “fight of the year”. Teixeira and Procházka went to absolute war for the better part of twenty-five minutes tonight at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Glover Teixeira found most of his success on the ground but also rocked Jiri Prochazka on multiple occasions in the standup. Not to be outdone, Jiri also landed a number of hard combinations and knees on the Brazilian veteran. After four rounds of action it appeared that Glover Teixeira was just five minutes away from hearing “and STILL”. However, despite having dominant positions in the final five minutes, Teixeira eventually gave up his back and Jiri forced him to tap with a choke.
