Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Abel Trujillo, UFC 160: Khabib Nurmagomedov faced Abel Trujillo at UFC 160 in 2013. The fight was Nurmagomedov’s fourth appearance in the UFC Octagon, but it was a timeless performance that showcased his grappling capabilities. Trujillo was a rising UFC prospect who made his UFC debut a few months prior. He knocked Marcus LeVesseur in the second round and was intending on making a name for himself in the lightweight division.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion and 2019 UFC Hall Of Fame inductee “Suga” Rashad Evans has reportedly parted ways from the UFC. The news was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, who also reported that Evans’ manager, Ali Abdelaziz says Evans is considering a comeback to fighting. Dana White: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs GSP possible if Ferguson is unavailable

While many have called for Tony Ferguson to be the next matchup for lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, UFC President Dana White has another opponent in mind if “El Cucuy” doesn’t make it to a fight with the champion. In an interview with TMZ Sports, White said that Ferguson is next in line, despite the fact that there have been four previous booking attempts that have failed between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov.

On November 2, the UFC will go head-to-head with a massive boxing match, and UFC President Dana White is expecting to come out on top. Over on the East Coast, White and the UFC will promote UFC 244, a huge pay-per-view card topped by a dynamite welterweight showdown between fan favorite welterweight contenders Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. Over on the West Coast, and potentially overlapping with UFC 244, Golden Boy Promotions will promote a similarly huge card, as pound-for-pound stalwart Canelo Alvarez climbs up in weight to battle the much larger Sergey Kovalev.

Jorge Masvidal is currently focused on a UFC 244 fight Nate Diaz, but that doesn’t mean he’s not thinking about his future options in the UFC welterweight division. If everything goes according to plan against Diaz, Masvidal says he wants to mix it up with one of “two sissies” next. By that, he means UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and top contender Colby Covington. More specifically, he seems to want to fight whichever of the two is holding the UFC welterweight title at the time — assuming they fight in the meantime.
Colby Covington responds to Dustin Poirier: 'He knows where to find me'

Colby Covington has been at odds with American Top Team teammate Dustin Poirier ever since Poirier lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242. After 242, Poirier was asked if he would be willing to fight a training partner at American Top Team, and he said no because he isn’t a sellout like Colby Covington.

During a fan Q&A on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, the UFC boss was asked why fighters are paid so little. He responded a with a bit of name-calling, and with an assurance that fighter pay will probably always be an issue.

We’re all waiting to get a look at the BMF belt that will be on the line when Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz collide in the UFC 244 main event, and from the sounds of it, we’re going to have to wait a little longer. Speaking during a fan Q&A on Twitter, UFC President Dana White was asked when fans will get a sneak peak of this new UFC belt. He claimed the belt will be revealed the week of UFC 244 — so sometime in the days ahead of November 2.

Thiago Santos sustained some serious injuries in his July split decision loss to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Despite his valiant effort, the Brazilian challenger exited the cage with a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus in his left knee and a partially torn meniscus in his right. Unsurprisingly, these injuries required Santos to go under the knife. Shortly after his fight, he underwent a complicated surgery to repair his badly damaged knees.

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that former promotional ‘champ champ’ Daniel Cormier will be making at least one more walk to the Octagon. Earlier tonight, the UFC boss spoke to Barstool Sports where he announced that the UFC is planning on booking a rubber match between Daniel Cormier and current UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
