Terrance McKinney hopes he can get a ranked opponent next. McKinney made good of his second UFC fight as he submitted Fares Ziam in the first round at UFC Vegas 49. In his debut, he knocked out Matt Frevola in seven seconds and he says this fight was all about proving it wasn’t a fluke.

Terrance McKinney is looking to build off his seven-second KO win over Matt Frevola in his debut. Back in June at UFC 263, McKinney stepped up on short notice and scored the KO win. He was then booked to fight Fares Ziam in November, but after a cornerman tested positive for COVID-19 the fight was scrapped. He will now face Ziam on Saturday at UFC Vegas 49 where he’s expecting to finish the fight in spectacular fashion.

UFC lightweight prospect Terrance McKinney shared a motivational story with UFC fans following his record-setting debut earlier this month. McKinney knocked out Matt Frevola with a 1-2 combination just seven seconds into their UFC 263 preliminary card lightweight bout. For McKinney, he was making his UFC debut on short notice after a fight in LFA the week before. He turned out to have one of the best UFC debuts of all time as he set the record for the fastest KO in UFC lightweight history. But for McKinney, just the fact that he’s made it all the way to the UFC is an accomplishment itself.

UFC newcomer Terrance McKinney has discussed the circumstances surrounding his injury and his actual win from UFC 263. McKinney, on short notice, made his UFC debut last weekend and certainly didn’t disappoint. He went toe to toe with Matt Frevola and while he was known as a dangerous fighter, few would’ve expected that he would knock Frevola out just seven seconds into the first round.
