Usman and Edwards did battle in a trilogy fight, which emanated from The O2 Arena in London, England this past Saturday. The UFC Welterweight Championship bout went the distance and was competitive throughout. Ultimately, it was Edwards who had his hand raised. He did enough in the eyes of the judges at Octagon side, nabbing a majority decision win.

Atlas was watching the UFC Welterweight Championship bout, which was ultimately won by Edwards via majority decision. Before the bout started, Atlas hopped on his Twitter account and recalled old trainers telling him that a fighter instantly improves by 30 percent when they become a champion.

Tonight’s highly anticipated welterweight title fight proved to be a thrilling five-round affair. Leon Edwards able to land a plethora of kicks throughout the twenty-five-minute contest, battering the lead leg of the former champion. Kamaru Usman was able to earn four takedowns in the bout, but never really was able to do much with the positions. Although ‘Rocky’ had a point deducted, he still did enough to emerge victorious on the judges’ scorecards.
