Fight fans await the result of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson in April. Nurmagomedov is the reigning UFC lightweight champion and will put his gold on the line against Ferguson. While “The Eagle” would set himself up for a huge rematch with McGregor if he gets past “El Cucuy,” the victory certainly isn’t a lock. Even if Nurmagomedov wins, McGregor might not wait for long.

UFC lightweight contender Edson Barboza believes that Tony Ferguson has a good chance to beat Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 249. Barboza has fought both Ferguson and Nurmagomedov, losing to both. Barboza lost by submission to Ferguson at the TUF 22 Finale in December 2015 and lost a decision to Nurmagomedov at UFC 219 in December 2017. So if anyone has insight into the Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov matchup, it’s Barboza.

Former UFC title contender Kenny Florian says that he was nearly killed in a car accident in the United Kingdom on Thursday. Florian said that a massive truck nearly trapped the tiny car he was traveling underneath it, and once they swerved out of the way they were hit by a large van. Florian credits the car’s driver, Paul Walker, for saving his life.

It has been just announced that the Frenchman will fight for the Cage Warriors interim featherweight title since current belt-holder Mads Burnell is unable to compete at the moment. Charriere’s opponent hasn’t been announced yet.

Kevin Lee has made it clear he is looking to sign two bout agreements at once. Lee is set to headline UFC Brasilia against Charles Oliveira on March 14, yet many expected him to fight Islam Makhachev. After Lee knocked out Gregor Gillespie, he and the Russian went back-and-forth and agreed to fight one another on social media. But, according to “The Motown Phenom” why it isn’t happening next is because Makhachev wanted to wait until June.

UFC veteran and former champion Frankie Edgar has revealed that he has just one fight remaining on his current UFC contract. Edgar, who many consider to be a legend in the world of mixed martial arts, is coming off the back of consecutive losses at the hands of Max Holloway and Chan Sung Jung AKA The Korean Zombie. The expectation was that he would be moving down to bantamweight to face Cory Sandhagen, but the injuries he sustained against The Korean Zombie ensured that wasn’t going to happen.

The welterweight champion was at a Radio Row media event in Miami when he had a verbal run-in with the BMF titleholder. The media event was being held ahead of this weekend’s Super Bowl LIV event where the San Francisco 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs.

He’s 10-0 as a pro recently discovered he has a problem that went undetected because he often fought with commissions that didn’t require brain scans. But, when he needed one for the Mousasi fight, that is when he realized something is wrong.

Jorge Masvidal says he’s entering contract negotiations to fight Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title. Masvidal and Usman have been going back-and-forth at one another on social media and interviews. But, at radio row in Miami for the Super Bowl, Masvidal and Usman got into a confrontation to add to the rivalry. Yet, before that happened, Masvidal did an interview on the Jim Rome show where he said he plans on embarrassing Usman and would even do it today.

Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington had a heated rivalry in the lead up to their UFC 245 fight. The two traded shot at one another on social media and in interviews and it appeared any respect between the two was gone. Yet, following UFC 245, where Usman won by fifth-round TKO, the welterweight champion praised Covington. He also said that fight was the first in his career where he had to ask his corner if he was winning the fight.

Former UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz believes Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor owe Stephen A Smith an apology. The feud started shortly after McGregor decimated Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246, where Smith had some questionable words regarding ‘Cowboys’ performance.

The Hall Of Fame has several wings which includes the Pioneer wing, the Modern-era, Contributors, and Fights to honor the very best that have taken place in the promotion’s history. Last year’s Modern-era wing featured Michael Bisping and Rashad Evans as inductees and in 2020, there should be a legendary female added to the wing. Four years after she retired from competition, it’s time for Miesha Tate to get the recognition she deserves and she should be inducted into the 2020 Hall Of Fame.

The post in question included a promotional image of Jedrzejczyk and her UFC 248 opponent, China’s Weili Zhang. The controversy stemmed from the fact that, in the image, Jedrzejczyk was wearing a gas mask — at a time when Zhang’s homeland is reeling from a deadly Coronavirus outbreak.
