Luke Rockhold is slamming the UFC for it’s association with the popular online group the Nelk Boys. Rockhold (16-5 MMA) is preparing for his upcoming middleweight fight with Paulo Costa (13-2 MMA) this coming Saturday, August 20th at UFC 278 which is being held at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rockhold, (16-5 MMA) is preparing to get in the Octagon for a middleweight bout with Paulo Costa (13-2 MMA) this coming Saturday, August 20th at UFC 278 which takes place at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.

Israel Adesanya will be paying attention to Luke Rockhold vs. Paulo Costa at UFC 278. Adesanya is currently set to defend his middleweight title at UFC 281 against Alex Pereira. Should he win, it’s uncertain who would be next in line but on Saturday night a pivotal middleweight bout goes down as Rockhold takes on Costa, and Adesanya is excited to see it play out.

Currently, the UFC gives out an average of four $50k bonuses per event, two for Performance of the Night and two fighters each get $50k for the Fight of the Night. Sometimes the promotion decides to hand out more bonuses but for Rockhold, he thinks how much the UFC pays out is a joke as bonuses have actually gone down in money in previous years.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Costa (13-2 MMA) had been accused of striking a health care professional at a local medical center after she allegedly refused to issue the fighter an immunization card for the COVID-19 vaccine. The claim is that ‘The Eraser‘ wanted the immunization card without actually getting the vaccine.

Luke Rockhold and Paulo Costa will no longer be fighting at UFC 277 on July 30. According to MMA reporter, The Schmo, Rockhold vs. Costa has been moved to August 20, which is UFC 278. The event is expected to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The news also comes just hours after Rockhold did an interview with Submission Radio who ripped the Brazilian for trying to delay their fight.

It’s his first fight since Jan Blachowicz brutally knocked him out in his light heavyweight debut. Although he has not fought since 2019, Rockhold is getting the fourth-ranked middleweight and if he wins he would be right back in the title picture.

Luke Rockhold believes it was a smart move by Khamzat Chimaev to turn him down. While Rockhold was hinting at a return to the Octagon earlier this year, he claims he was offered Chimaev and accepted the fight. Yet, the Swede turned it down as he wanted to stay at welterweight and ended up facing Li Jingliang and then Gilbert Burns. As for Rockhold, he was booked to fight Sean Strickland at UFC 268 but it didn’t come to fruition and he will now face Paulo Costa at UFC 277.
