While many have criticized White for trying to go ahead with the event, it appears Cruz is on the same wavelength as his boss.

A perfect matchup awaits Frankie Edgar at 135-pounds

Natasha Hooper - July 30, 2019

After Frankie Edgar fell short of grasping the featherweight title against Max Holloway at UFC 240, the possibility that he will move down to 135 is floating in the air. Dominick Cruz talks TJ Dillashaw suspension: 'Two years is nothing'

Drake Riggs - April 15, 2019

When it comes to the two greatest bantamweight fighters of all time, the two that will come to mind first will surely be former two-time UFC champions, Dominick Cruz and TJ Dillashaw. The former WEC kingpin, Cruz was, of course, the division’s inaugural UFC champion. Since his Octagon debut in 2011, he would go on to defend the title a total of three times across two reigns. For his second reign, he would earn back the belt that he originally lost due to injury by defeating Dillashaw.

Dominick Cruz slams 'weak-minded' TJ Dillashaw for handling of Henry Cejudo loss

Tom Taylor - February 22, 2019

UFC bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw did not agree with his stoppage loss to UFC flyweight champ Henry Cejudo. Ever since the loss, he’s been adamant that the referee intervened too early, and that he should have been given more time recover. Former champ Dominick Cruz, one of Dillashaw’s chief rivals, isn’t impressed with these complaints. “I look at this and say, is this how insignificantly stupid you are?” Cruz said on the the UFC Unfiltered podcast (transcript via MMA Fighting). “To think you complaining and whining about a stoppage is gonna change anything? You just sound like a moron. Like, nothing is gonna change. You might as well just accept what just happened to you and try to grab a hold of your balls instead of run from them and admit the loss. Because you just got knocked out by a [125er]. And you dropped down to a weight class that dried out your brain and you might not have been as durable as you are at 135.”
