It’s been a wild couple of days to say the least. Floyd Mayweather dropped a little blurb about the UFC, then all of a sudden Joe Rogan was leaking that he’s in negotiations with the organization for an MMA debut. Everyone took it with a grain of salt until Dana White came out the next day and said that all of it was true. Well, it looks like all of that is over. Floyd Mayweather just went on record to clarify his statements and assured everyone he will not be signing with the UFC at all. “That’s not what I said. Exactly what I said is this, if I made a billion dollars before, I could do it again. If I chose to get in the UFC and fight three fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor, I could make a million dollars, which I can. I can do it in three fights or even four fights, I could do make a billion dollars if I choose to get into the Octagon and fight. We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather.”

There was a time not long ago that talk of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fighting in a boxing match was laughed at by many. Even UFC President Dana White once stated that the fight would never happen. Well, it happened and people tuned in to watch. The world was shocked to hear Joe Rogan say that White told him via text message that Mayweather was serious about fighting in the UFC and that they had been in talks. White then confirmed it himself to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that he and Mayweather have been talking about doing a UFC deal.

Next year, a huge fight is in the works. UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw is supposed to go down to fight UFC flyweight champion and title-defense king, Demetrious Johnson. It very well could be the most highly skilled MMA fighter in history if the UFC can pull it off. However, there is a fight that could be even bigger. Just imagine Floyd Mayweather stepping into the Octagon across from Mighty Mouse for a historic superfight only rivaled by Conor McGregor. Last week, undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. hinted that he was in talks with the UFC. “I can come right back,” Mayweather said during an Instagram live video. “If I want to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and you motherfu*kers love me, and I love you motheru*kers.”

Vasyl Lomachenko has been getting a ton of praise for his superior boxing skills and IQ. Lomachenko just defended his WBO super featherweight title against the previously unbeaten WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, who quit on the stool before the start of round seven. That makes the fourth opponent in a row to end the fight against Lomachenko by RTD.

Conor McGregor can now boast about another record to his already ridiculous list. He already shattered his pay scale with his historical boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather. There were numerous conflicting reports about how well the blockbuster superfight performed, but not we have the true numbers and they’re still nothing to turn your nose up at. The SHOWTIME pay-per-view ended up doing 4.3 million in PPV buys, just 3ooK short of breaking the record that still holds solid for Mayweather’s fight with Manny Pacquiao. SHOWTIME Sports confirmed today that the SHOWTIME PPV presentation of Mayweather vs. McGregor on August 26, 2017 generated 4.3 million pay-per-view buys in North America. This includes traditional television distribution and online portals such as the new SHOWTIME PPV app and SHOWTIMEPPV.com as well as UFC.TV in U.S. and Canada.

UFC President Dana White has threatened to sue Manny Pacquiao and his representatives if they have tried to start talks and negotiations for a boxing match with Conor McGregor. Although White may have tried to kill the possibility of the matchup, it’s surely a big topic for fans and pundits to talk about. Fight Hub TV recently spoke with Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Roach on the matchup and the legendary boxing trainer said that although there is a lot of money to be made in the superfight, he isn’t all that interested in it.

There are very few combat sports athletes on the planet that are just as special as world boxing champion, Vasyl Lomachenko. And the public eye is starting to take notice. Reports have come in from Nielsen stating that the ESPN boxing event headlined by Lomachenko vs Guillermo Rigondeaux did twice as many numbers as the UFC Fight Night 123 event in Fresno, California headlined by Cub Swanson vs Brian Ortega. Getting to specifics, the Top Rank event between Lomachenko and Rigondeaux brought in 1.73 million viewers, with UFC Fight Night 123 bringing in 870,000. Both surpassed the HBO boxing event where Miguel Roman defeated Orlando Salido which only did 576,000. Top Rank President Todd DuBoef was happy with the news: “We’re thrilled with our relationship with ESPN and what it’s meant to bring boxing to a broader fan base,” DuBoef said. “We’re not on an island [on HBO/Showtime] anymore. It’s resonating, and we’re proud.”

In a recent rant on Instagram Live, Mayweather flaunted this second skill, calling himself not just the greatest boxer ever, but the greatest athlete ever, and reminding the world of just how much money he’s made. “I better not every hear y’all say nothing about nobody else,” he said. “There’s only one motherfuckin’ GOAT, and it’s me. I better not hear anybody talking about ‘this guy’s the GOAT over here, this guy’s the GOAT over here.’ Man, at the end of the day, I’m the best athlete ever. You know what I’m saying? You heard me. Ain’t nobody done it better than me. I’ve done it in the best style, I’ve done it flashy, I’ve done it flamboyant, I’ve done it my way, I kept 100% of the revenue, and I’m own motherfuckin’ boss. When asked about each other by the media, it’s likely that they will both come out with some scathing remarks directed at one another. The tune has not changed as Arum spoke with the media after the Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux card in New York. Arum was asked about White’s plans of getting into boxing promotions and the Top Rank CEO fired away with another boxing vs. MMA fueled response.

Contrary to widespread expectations that his next bout will occur in the Octagon, these rumors suggest McGregor will once again compete in boxing, where he would take on a bona fide legend in Manny Pacquiao. These rumors began with comments from Pacquiao himself, who claimed that he’s been in preliminary negotiations with McGregor and his team, and that they’re working toward a spring showdown.

Back last month when Manny Pacquiao winked at a possible fight with Conor McGregor, we all just took it with a grain of salt just like Paulie Malignaggi’s constant petition to settle his differences with the Irish MMA Champ Champ. However, it looks like it is more than just talk. The two have entered into negotiations to have a multi-million dollar boxing match in April of 2018. If this goes down, McGregor would most likely vacate his UFC lightweight title in order to make another obscene amount of money.    In the boxing world, reports tonight Manny Pacquiao -39 later this month – has confirmed he’s opened talks to fight Conor McGregor in April next year.

Ana Julaton holds a 14-4-1 professional boxing record and made the crossover to MMA in 2013 when she joined ONE FC and fought and defeated Aya-Saeid Saber by way of third round technical knockout. Julaton fought four times with ONE FC and went 2-2 before departing to the USA to compete in Bellator. She made her Bellator debut at Bellator 185 on October 20 and unfortunately lost a split decision. Just one day after her fellow Boxer, Heather “The Heat” Hardy announced she has some fight news coming soon, Julaton did the same.

Speaking recently in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, Bunce took a strong position on one of the biggest fights in combat sports history between UFC champion Conor McGregor and undefeated boxing great Floyd Mayweather. Bunce went against what many boxing analyst’s said of the fight, which claim Mayweather simply let McGregor win the first few rounds.

Back in August, UFC lightweight champ Conor McGregor stepped through the ropes of the boxing to battle undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. While the Irishman must be commended for taking on such a decorated legend in his pro boxing debut, his effort to do so ultimately went the way most expected, as he was stopped by a volley of punches in the 10th round. With this boxing match soundly in the rear-view, the perception has been that McGregor’s next fight will be in the UFC’s Octagon. In terms of possible opponents, the frontrunner is definitely Tony Ferguson, though Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Georges St-Pierre are also being options.
