Henry Cejudo calls for Nick Diaz vs. Robbie Lawler trilogy fight
Adam Martin - October 3, 2021
Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo called for the Nick Diaz vs. Robbie Lawler trilogy fight following their recent rematch at UFC 266. Diaz and Lawler met in a middleweight bout at UFC 266 last month, and Lawler won the fight in the third round by TKO. It was a rematch 17 years in the making after the two previously met at UFC 47 in 2004, with Diaz winning that fight via knockout. All these years later and these two rivals met again, but this time with Lawler getting the better of Diaz and getting the finish. It was a good fight for as long as it lasted, and UFC president Dana White praised Diaz for his performance in the fight. But at the end of the day, Diaz lost the fight via TKO and it’s unknown if he has any interest in fighting in the UFC again.

Adam Martin - October 3, 2021

The two heavyweights will go at it for five rounds or less in the main event of the UFC Fight Night card set for December 18. As for Lewis, following a one-sided loss to Ciryl Gane in his last fight, he needs to defend his No. 3 ranking now.
Thiago Santos issues statement following UFC Vegas 38 win over Johnny Walker
Adam Martin - October 3, 2021
UFC light heavyweight contender Thiago Santos issued a statement following his UFC Vegas 38 unanimous decision win over Johnny Walker. Santos and Walker surprisingly went the full five rounds in the headliner of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 38 card. It was not a great fight as neither fighter engaged all that much during their 25 minutes in the cage and it was a very close fight for the judges to score. In the end, it was Santos getting his hand raised by unanimous decision, snapping his three-fight losing skid in the process. Taking to his social media following the big win, Santos reacted to his victory over Walker by issuing a statement regarding this much-needed UFC win.

Immediately following his big win over Solecki, Gordon used his post-fight interview as the chance to call out Pimblett. The Brit recently made his UFC debut with a KO win over Luigi Vendramini and Gordon hopes that he gets the chance to fight him next. And it appears as though Pimblett is interested, too.
