The pair discussed a variety of topics, including the fights themselves, the retirement of WWE’s Vince McMahon, and White’s biggest pet peeves when it comes to accepting major fights that could influence the rankings and MMA. Dana White has been adamant on fighters waiting for title shots or fighting fellow teammates and friends. The UFC interim flyweight title bout was closely contested between the division’s top two contenders. While the sold-out American Airlines Center waited for the highly anticipated rematch between Julianna Peña and Amanda Nunes to unfold, one fighter was glued to the action in front of him between Moreno and Kara-France. Yair Rodriguez and Brandon Moreno are long-time friends, dating back to the early parts of their career, so Rodriguez’s investment was obvious as he rooted his friend on to victory.

Anthony Smith broke his ankle in his UFC 277 fight against Magomed Ankalaev. In the lead-up to UFC 277, Smith was vocal that he didn’t understand the hype with Ankalaev and was going to prove that. However, in the first round it appeared Smith hurt his ankle, and to begin the second round, he could barely stand and Ankalaev got the second-round TKO.
Chael Sonnen defends Jake Paul, claims boxers are "scared" to fight him

Chael Sonnen has defended Jake Paul after his fight against Hasim Rahman Jr. was canceled on Saturday. After Tommy Fury was forced out of the fight, Paul replaced him with Rahman Jr., but unfortunately, the pro boxer will also not make the walk to the ring due to weight issues.
Yair Rodriguez says he's "going to wait" for Alexander Volkanovski, claims fighting Josh Emmett "doesn’t make any sense"

Yair Rodriguez is only focused on fighting Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title his next time out. Rodriguez returned to the win column last time out as he beat Brian Ortega by first-round TKO due to Ortega’s shoulder popping out. It was a disappointing end to the fight, and after the event added, it was uncertain what would be next for him as Volkanovski is out with a hand injury and has talked about going up to lightweight.
