UFC welterweight Gilbert Burns believes Conor McGregor should stay down at lightweight. ‘The Notorious’ has been out of action since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last July. In that trilogy outing, McGregor broke his leg in the final seconds of round one. Due to the injury, he’s been on the sidelines for over a year.

Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. was trending to be a big box office success. Paul and Rahman Jr. were supposed to headline Madison Square Garden on Saturday. However, just a week before the event, the fight was called off due to weight issues on Rahman Jr.’s side. However many, including Dana White and Eddie Hearn, thought it was canceled due to poor ticket sales.

Dana White is heaping praise on newly crowned UFC interim flyweight champion Brandon Moreno. It was Brandon Moreno (20-6 MMA) vs Kai Kara-France (24-10 MMA) in the flyweight co-main event this past Saturday, July 30th at UFC 277 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Anthony Pettis is pretty amazed by what Charles Oliveira has accomplished. Pettis and Oliveira fought in 2016 at featherweight and ‘Showtime’ ended up winning by submission. After the fight, Pettis said Oliveria’s striking was getting better but he didn’t think the Brazilian would turn his career around and eventually become the UFC lightweight champion.

Former middleweight UFC champion Rich Franklin says he would consider fighting again, under the right circumstances. Franklin, 47, (29-7 MMA) has not entered the Octagon since November of 2012 where he went down to defeat against Cung Le (9-3 MMA) in a middleweight bout.

UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano would welcome a fight with Paddy Pimblett. The Brazilian has been out of action since his loss to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 272 in March. The bout was a short-notice fight for Moicano, as he stepped in on just a few days’ notice. During the loss, the 33-year-old took a lot of damage, as many criticized the bout not being stopped in the championship rounds.
