In the main event of UFC 320, Magomed Ankalaev will defend the UFC light heavyweight championship against former champion Alex Pereira. It comes after ‘Big Ank’ was able to take the belt from ‘Poatan’ earlier this year, with many believing that Ankalaev is the obvious favorite to win the rematch.

UFC Perth has taken a blow after Oban Elliott was forced to pull out of his scheduled fight against Jonathan Micallef. As we know, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is a place where we’ve come to expect a lot of great fights. The best tend to fight the best more often than not, and Dana White often receives a lot of praise for that. However, the chaotic nature of mixed martial arts often means that we’re left feeling disappointed by how many fights are canceled or postponed. This can rarely be avoided, but it’s still frustrating.

Dominick Reyes and Carlos Ulberg will throw down in Australia, with the winner this weekend being well-positioned for potentially the next crack at the 205-pound crown. While many think of ‘The Count’ as a 185-pound fighter, being that he’s a former UFC middleweight champion, Bisping does have several light heavyweight accolades too. Bisping captured and defended the Cage Warriors light heavyweight belt multiple times as well as the fact that he also won season three of The Ultimate Fighter as a 205-pound fighter.

One rising welterweight contender is predicting the end of Leon Edwards’ pro MMA career at UFC 322. Edwards is scheduled to share the Octagon with Carlos Prates inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 15. That event will be headlined by a UFC Welterweight Championship fight between titleholder Jack Della Maddalena and Islam Makhachev. The co-main event will see Zhang Weili challenge Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship.

One MMA legend believes Alex Pereira’s rants ahead of UFC 320 are a good thing for “Poatan.” Pereira will have a chance to regain the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship when he collides with Magomed Ankalaev in a rematch on Oct. 4. “Poatan” lost the 205-pound title to Ankalaev back in March at UFC 313. Pereira was moving backwards throughout the fight and ended up dropping a unanimous decision.

Next summer, the Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to the White House for a blockbuster event. It’ll serve as the first of its kind, and US president Donald Trump is expected to be there. Someone else who is expected to be there, regardless of whether or not he’s competing, is Conor McGregor.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship looks set to put on a blockbuster event at the White House next year. The expectation is that there will be some big names featuring on the card, with Jon Jones being a name that is regularly mentioned.
