Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson engaged in a intense staredown at today’s UFC 249 press conference in Las Vegas. The pair have been booked to fight for a fifth time, this after all four of their previously slated bouts fell through due to injuries and botched weight cuts. The highly anticipated lightweight showdown will headline April’s pay-per-view event in Brooklyn.

At the UFC 249 pre-fight press conference on Friday, Nurmagomedov and Ferguson went back-and-forth trash-talking one another. The two were seemingly reaching their boiling point when UFC president Dana White took the last question and squared them off.

Daniel Cormier feels proud of being recognized for testing clean for over 50 United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) tests. The former heavyweight champion, Cormier has been honored today by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) after 50 of his tests have come back negative. Holly Holm was recently honored for accomplishing 50 clean tests. However, UFC VP of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky revealed the Cormier was in fact first and has now surpassed the 54 test mark. Novitzky praised DC for his commitment to fighting clean and fair.

While only time will tell if McGregor’s partying days are over, Michael Bisping isn’t fully convinced. While making a guest appearance on MMA Tonight on Sirius XM, Bisping was asked about his thoughts on McGregor and his team saying his partying days are over. Although Bisping said he and McGregor don’t have a personal relationship these days, he compared McGregor’s situation to his own.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is known as one of MMA’s greatest dancers but he says that the late Ryan Jimmo was the best dancer in UFC history. Many consider Adesanya to be a fantastic dancer by MMA standards, and his elaborate walkouts and victory celebrations are something that fans routinely look forward to. According to Adesanya, however, he’s not even the best dancer the UFC has ever seen. The middleweight champ says that distinction should go to the late Jimmo, who was murdered in 2016 in a hit-and-run incident in Edmonton.

Max Holloway has a message for Dillon Danis. On Thursday, Danis took to Twitter to remind the world that his training partner Conor McGregor is still the lineal UFC featherweight champion. While it’s true that McGregor was never defeated to lose the featherweight title, and was instead stripped for inactivity, this claim did not go over especially well with fans.

The home of the Thunder receives a five-round main event between a top middleweight contender in the form of Hermansson and a former champion on the downside of his career in Weidman.

In the main event of this weekend’s UFC 248, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will look to defend his title for the first time after he claimed the undisputed championship from former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 last October. As Adesanya prepares for his first title defense against Yoel Romero, former middleweight champion Michael Bisping, who is now retired, believes he’d be able to beat Adesanya if he was still fighting. During an interview with MMA Tonight on Sirius XM, Bisping was asked about the upcoming main event title fight. While he praised both Adesanya and challenger Yoel Romero, Bisping said if he was still actively fighting, he’d be able to take the belt off Adesanya “pretty easily”.
