Ahead of the fight, the pair exchanged plenty in the way of trash talk, and that trash talk has continued after the fact.

Edson Barboza will now face off against Makwan Amirkhani on October 10 after Sodiq Yusuff was forced to withdraw from their scheduled bout. MMA Junkie has confirmed the initial report from Combate that Yusuff will no longer be able to take on Barboza as he has pulled out due to undisclosed reasons. The man who will be replacing him, Amirkhani, has won three of his last four fights with his latest victory coming against Danny Henry at UFC 251.

Chael Sonnen has taken a shot at UFC’s new light heavyweight king Jan Blachowicz for calling out Jon Jones after his UFC 253 win. Blachowicz was able to finally climb to the top of the mountain on Saturday night as he beat Dominick Reyes to capture the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. In the immediate aftermath of his victory, the champ decided to call out the man who vacated the belt – Jon Jones.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya revealed that his father is the one who told him to lose the pair hair for his fight at UFC 253. Adesanya took on his rival Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253 on Saturday night in Abu Dhabi. It was a masterful performance from the champ, who picked apart Costa on the outside with his jab and a number of brutal low kicks. Eventually, Costa let his guard down and Adesanya was able to get the TKO win late in the second round.

UFC legend Jon Jones congratulated new UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz after he defeated Dominick Reyes at UFC 253. Jones, the longtime UFC light heavyweight champion, vacated his title during the summer as he will move up to heavyweight for his next bout. The UFC booked Blachowicz against Reyes and despite being a heavy underdog heading into the fight, Blachowicz pulled off a stunner when he finished Reyes in the second round via TKO.

Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo responded after Israel Adesanya said that he was going to ejaculate on his coach Eric Albarracin. Adesanya knocked out Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253 to defend the UFC middleweight title. Immediately after the referee stepped in and stopped the fight, Adesanya was caught on camera play humping Costa. He then went to Costa’s corner and told Albarracin that he would ejaculate all over him. Watch the video below.

UFC welterweight contender Neil Magny called out hotshot prospect Khamzat Chimaev, telling the Swede that he’s “ready to scrap.” Chimaev has come out of nowhere to emerge as one of the biggest stars in the UFC. The 26-year-old contender made his UFC debut on Fight Island in July and defeated John Phillips and Rhys McKee in back-to-back fights in just 10 days. He then returned to the Octagon in Las Vegas and knocked out Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds. His three UFC performances have drawn raves reviews from MMA fans worldwide.

UFC pound-for-pound great Jon Jones took to social media to send a foreboding message to his fellow fighters in the wake of UFC 253. Jones was the UFC light heavyweight champion on-and-off for the better part of the last decade, but he recently gave up his title as he will move to heavyweight for his next fight. At UFC 253, the light heavyweight division finally got a new champion as Jan Blachowicz knocked out Dominick Reyes to take home the 205lbs belt. Also on the card, Israel Adesanya, a rival of Jones, knocked out Paulo Costa in the co-main event.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor told UFC president Dana White to “stop lying” about fight talks with Diego Sanchez: “Code was broke.” A few days ago, McGregor released text messages of him and White allegedly talking about a potential fight against Sanchez. McGregor said in the texts that it was a fight that interested him but White said the UFC would lose its promoter’s license if they booked it. The fight never came to be, and McGregor is now reportedly in negotiations to box against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Adesanya and Costa spent months talking smack to each other on social media and in interviews, so it’s no surprise that months of pent-up frustration were unleashed in the cage on Saturday night in Fight Island. Most of that aggression was from Adesanya, who had one of his best UFC performances to date in the fight. He picked apart Costa with low kicks from the outside before finishing him with punches from the inside.

Adesanya had one of the most impressive performances of his UFC career to date on Saturday night when he stopped Paulo Costa with strikes in the second round of their main event fight at UFC 253. Adesanya is now 20-0 in his MMA career with nine wins in the UFC alone. He’s the undisputed champion and everyone who is under him in the rankings is just trying to chase after him now as he’s the best middleweight in MMA.
