Khabib Nurmagomedov on president of France: "May the Almighty disfigure the face of this creature"

Alfredo Zullino - October 31, 2020

The now-retired UFC lightweight kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has recently taken on his social media to issue a statement against the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. During these past weeks, France went under multiple terroristic attacks. On October 22, a Conflans’ school teacher, near Paris, was beheaded by 18-year-old Abdullakh Anzorov, after he showed some cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his students. One week later, 21-year-old Brahim Aoussaoui entered a church in Nice, killing three people with a knife and injuring others.

Cole Shelton - October 30, 2020

James Krause is not a fan of Joaquin Buckley. After Buckley had his highlight-reel KO over Impa Kasanganay on Fight Island, word got around that he and Krause had a rivalry of sorts. That only intensified after both men said they would take the fight and for the Glory MMA & Fitness head coach in Krause, he said it all started about six weeks ago.

Firas Zahabi says Georges St-Pierre and Khabib Nurmagomedov "deserve their retirement"

Adam D Martin - October 30, 2020

MMA trainer Firas Zahabi says his pupil at Tristar Gym Georges St-Pierre and UFC great Khabib Nurmagomedov “deserve their retirement.” Zahabi has been St-Pierre’s trainer for years at Tristar in Montreal and the coach has spoken openly in the past about a potential superfight between GSP and Nurmagomedov. However, in the wake of Nurmagomedov retiring following his submission win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, it appears that any possibility of a fight between these two legends has disappeared, at least for the time being. Zahabi agrees with that sentiment.

Anderson Silva says he has "no regrets" about past PED suspensions

Adam Martin - October 29, 2020

Speaking to the media ahead of his final UFC fight, MMA legend Anderson Silva says he has “no regrets” about his past PED suspensions. The 45-year-old Silva is generally regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time but one argument that is used against him is his previous sanctions for performance-enhancing drugs. In 2015, Silva defeated Nick Diaz via unanimous decision at UFC 183 but the fight was overturned to a No Contest after Silva tested positive for steroids by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He was also fined and suspended for one year.
