UFC featherweight Jeremy Stephens has verbally agreed to fight Giga Chikadze following his big KO win over Jamey Simmons at UFC Vegas 13. Chikadze picked up an impressive head kick KO win over Simmons on the main card of UFC Vegas 13. It was Chikadze’s fifth win in the UFC and upped his record to a perfect 5-0 in the Octagon, earning him a $50k bonus for “Performance of the Night.” Following the win, Chikadze took his post-fight interview to call out the veteran featherweight Stephens, who was originally set to fight Arnold Allen on this card before pulling out with an injury.

UFC middleweight Darren Till responded to Mike Perry’s claims that he “pussied out” of his upcoming fight against Jack Hermansson. Till was set to fight Hermansson in the main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Night card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5. With both Till and Hermansson looking to prove they are worthy of a title fight against UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, this was a very important fight at 185lbs. Unfortunately, Till announced he had to withdraw from the bout this week. Kevin Holland will fight Hermansson now.

UFC heavyweight legend Andrei Arlovski released a statement following his upset win over Tanner Boser and got a shoutout from Ilya Kovalchuk. Despite being a big underdog to Boser at the sportsbooks, Arlovski won a unanimous decision over the Canadian in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 13 with scores of 29-28 across the board. Although he is 41 years old and one of the oldest fighters on the UFC roster, Arlovski continues to impress at this stage of his career. Don’t look now, but Arlovski is on a two-fight win streak and has won three of his last four fights overall.

UFC welterweight prospect Ramiz Brahimaj released a statement after suffering a horrific injury at UFC Vegas 13 in his fight with Max Griffin. Brahimaj was making his debut against nine-fight UFC veteran Griffin on the undercard of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 13 event. Brahimaj hadn’t fought in 18 months after dealing with a tumor in his eye that nearly ended his MMA career. After the eye injury lost him his chance to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series, the UFC matchmakers showed their empathy and decided to give him a fight in the Octagon against Griffin instead.
Weili Zhang could have new title challenger in fellow China native Yan Xiaonan

UFC women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang could have a new title challenger in the form of fellow China native Yan Xiaonan. Zhang is, of course, the UFC champion at women’s 115lbs and she is one of the best female fighters in the world. At 21-1, Zhang hasn’t lost since her MMA debut in 2013. Since joining the UFC in 2018, Zhang is a perfect 5-0 in the Octagon. She won the title from Jessica Andrade in August 2019 and successfully defended it against rival Joanna Jedrzejczyk in March 2020 at UFC 248 in one of the best fights of the year thus far.

UFC president Dana White responded to light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira’s request for the next light heavyweight title shot. Teixeira defeated No. 1 contender Thiago Santos via third-round rear-naked choke submission in the main event of UFC Vegas 13. It’s the fifth straight win for the 41-year-old Teixeira, who smashed Anthony Smith in his last fight and who also had recent wins over Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba, and Karl Roberson. Following the win over Santos, Teixeira used his post-fight interview as an opportunity to call for a title shot at 205lbs.

Former UFC champion Jon Jones explained why he’s “so glad” that Glover Teixeira defeated Thiago Santos in the main event of UFC Vegas 13. Jones, of course, previously fought both Teixeira and Santos. “Bones” defeated Teixeira at UFC 172 in 2014 via unanimous decision back when he was in his prime, and he later beat Santos via split decision at UFC 239 in a razor-thin fight. So if anyone knows a thing or two about how Teixeira and Santos operate inside the Octagon cage, it’s Jones.

At UFC Vegas 13, Teixeira defeated top contender Thiago Santos via third-round submission in a back-and-forth war that won “Fight of the Night” honors. It’s the fifth straight win for Teixeira, who figures to take Santos’ spot at the top contender in the division. But it still might not be enough to earn him the next title shot against UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz instead of middleweight champ Israel Adesanya.

UFC legend Jon Jones has reacted to the news that Israel Adesanya will be moving up to light heavyweight to challenge Jan Blachowicz. Following UFC Vegas 12, Dana White had announced that Adesanya would be moving up in weight to take on Blachowicz in 2021 and attempt to become a two-division champion. Adesanya is already the UFC’s middleweight champion and he will be looking to join the exclusive club of two-weight champs in UFC history. Of course, the timing here is interesting as Adesanya announced his move up in weight only after Jones left the 205lbs division.

Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz was clearly watching tonight’s UFC Vegas 13 headliner between Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira. Blachowicz most previous loss had comes at the hands of Santos back in February of 2019, so it was no surprise he tuned in to catch the scrap.

Santos (21-8 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since UFC 239 in July of 2019, where he suffered a split-decision setback in his effort to dethrone Jon Jones of the promotions light heavyweight title.
