Triller Fight Club returned tonight with ‘Legends 2’, a fight card headlined by boxing heavyweights Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. The event was originally slated to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. However, the fight card was moved after original headliner Oscar De La Hoya was forced to withdraw due to illness, and Holyfield was booked as the short-notice replacement. California would not sanction the Holyfield vs Belfort fight to take place in the state which resulted in the event being shifted to Florida.

Nick Diaz is set to make his long awaited return to the Octagon in a rematch with Robbie Lawler later this month at UFC 266. Diaz (26-9 MMA) last competed way back at UFC 183 in January of 2015, where he lost a unanimous decision to MMA legend Anderson Silva. The fight ruling was later overturned to a no-contest, this after both men tested positive for banned substances.

Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort may be an exhibition bout by the time the two-step into the boxing ring on Saturday. In the main event of Triller Fight Club Legends 2, Belfort was set to fight Oscar De La Hoya but after De La Hoya tested positive for COVID-19, Holyfield stepped in on short notice. When the fight was made, it was set to be a pro bout but that may change.

Holyfield is set to return to the ring on Saturday in the main event of Triller Fight Club Legends 2 against Vitor Belfort. It’s an intriguing matchup and to add to the fight, Tyson will be in attendance for the bout and Triller hopes if Holyfield wins, they will make Tyson vs. Holyfield 3.

Former UFC middleweight fighter Jason Miller, better known as “Mayhem,” has been arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident. TMZ first reported that Miller was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in Los Angeles after he allegedly got into a physical incident with a woman. According to the report, Miller has been taken into jail and his bail has been set at $1.385 million. He is currently still in custody and awaiting the next step in his latest incident with the law.

UFC light heavyweight contender Jamahal Hill admitted his elbow dislocation against Paul Craig was karma for “disrespecting the game.” Hill suffered one of the most gruesome injuries in MMA this year when he had his arm twisted by Craig during their light heavyweight bout back at UFC 263 in June. While it appeared as though Hill had broken his arm at first, he was thankfully able to walk away with only his elbow being dislocated. Because it wasn’t a fracture, the doctors were able to fix the dislocated elbow, and now Hill returns in December when he takes on Jimmy Crute.

Ortiz was the mayor pro tem of his native Huntington Beach, California, but he resigned in June after six months on the job for several reasons including perceived “character assassination.” Not long after Ortiz resigned from his position as mayor pro tem, he was booked for his boxing match this Saturday night against fellow former UFC fighter Silva.

Ahead of this weekend’s big boxing event, Trump called in during the pre-fight press conference to take some questions with the media. One of the questions that Trump was asked if who he would fight if he had the chance to step into the ring with anyone. As far as Trump goes, he would take care of current United States president Joe Biden easily.

Former featherweight champ Germaine de Randamie forced out of UFC 268 due to injury

Germaine de Randamie (10-4) will no longer be a part of the big upcoming UFC 268 event in November. ESPN Deportes revealed Wednesday that the Netherlands’ “Iron Lady” had been forced out of her bantamweight contender bout with Irene Aldana on Nov. 6 due to an undisclosed injury. It remains to be seen if Mexico’s Aldana will remain on the card or not.
