Pettis, who will be fighting this weekend in Las Vegas, was referencing an incident that took place a matter of hours before his fight against Nate Diaz this past summer which, in the eyes of some, could have wound up impacting some areas of the fight.

While the Irishman may be focusing his attention on Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone this week, it definitely seems as if Khabib is still at the forefront of his mind.

Walker was entering the fight riding high on a nine-fight winning streak including being 3-0 in the UFC with three first-round knockouts. Conor McGregor is far and away the highest paid fighter in MMA history, and he expects that status to continue when he takes on Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246 this weekend in Las Vegas. Speaking to ESPN, the official broadcast partner of the UFC, McGregor divulged that he made a hefty $50 million for his October, 2018 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov. For his imminent scrap with Cowboy, he expects to earn a whopping $80 million, which he says will be the biggest payday of his MMA career.

UFC president Dana White says that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been invited to attend this weekend’s UFC 246 event. White is a massive fan of the Patriots, who Brady has starred for since the 2000 NFL season. During the last 20 years with the Pats, Brady has appeared in nine Super Bowls, winning an NFL record six of them, the most for any player in football history. White regularly attends Patriots games and is close with the team’s owner, Robert Kraft.

Carlos Condit was hoping to get back on track to end 2019 before an injury forced him to withdraw from his scheduled fight with Mickey Gall at UFC Washington, DC. While the exact reason for the withdrawal hasn’t truly been revealed, Condit’s manager Abe Kawa says that “The Natural Born Killer” didn’t suffer a serious injury and expects to make a full recovery.

The new commercial explains why the recent Reebok t-shirt featuring McGregor as a cartoon character was released. That t-shirt was ridiculed by fans and media online for being ridiculous, but now we at least know why Reebok released the shirt as McGregor is the star of this new ad campaign for Zig Kinetica shoes.

An exciting bantamweight matchup between Jonathan Martinez and Andre Ewell looks to be heading to the Lone Star State. Sources have confirmed to BJPENN.com that the matchup is scheduled to take place at UFC 247. The event goes down Feb. 8 at the Houston Center in Houston, Texas and will feature two world title fights, headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes.

BJJ ace Dillon Danis is one of Conor McGregor’s key training partners, and has undoubtedly been particularly valuable as McGregor prepares for the submission chops of Donald Cerrone. Unfortunately, there is a small barrier to Danis actually being able to corner McGregor for his fight wth Cerrone, which tops the UFC 246 card this Saturday. According to Kevin Iole, who spoke to Nevada Athletic Commission director Bob Bennett, Danis still owes the state of Nevada $7,500 for his role in the infamous UFC 229 brawl between McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teams.

Kamaru Usman, the welterweight division’s current champion, will be watching this fight very closely. Like many members of the MMA community, he favors McGregor early and Cerrone if the fight goes into the later rounds, and based his prediction on that.
